I think my local Target (Nashville West Target in Nashville, TN) has an old batch of Aura Cacia essential oils. Everything that contains Peppermint and Lavender has weird sweet, noxious coat of smell. It's hard to describe but I did encounter that with another brand. And I believe it's most likely caused by transporting in heat or being a very old oil. On a good note, this Peppermint oil is very potent. It burns crazy! If you need that for talking skin, pain, or alike body issues.
I have a few of these oils. Peppermint is always good to have on hand for a little pick me up. I use it when I am feeling stuffy or have a slight headache. It helps clear my sinuses. People at work sometimes stop by for a few drops in their palms to rub and inhale.
This is the worst smelling peppermint oil I have ever used. It smells okay when it is mixed with another scent, but if you are using it by itself buy a different brand. I don't know if my bottle went bad or if they all smell like this, but I will never try this brand again.
