With its gray linen upholstery, tufted back and cool modern lines, the Avery Sleeper Sofa does double duty as a sofa and a twin bed! Made to fit seamlessly into small spaces, this sleeper sofa functions as comfortable seating by day and a convenient twin bed by night, with independently encased coil sofa seat cushions and CertiPUR-US certified memory foam mattress for the ultimate in rest and relaxation.
The couch itself is super cute; it was so easy to assemble that my ten year old was able to do it correctly with minimal help. It's rather small, and the cushions come off a little easily, but that's couches. The bed has a memory foam mattress, and it's pretty dang comfortable to sleep on. The couch cushions are very firm and not super comfortable, but with time, it should be fine. The delivery, I wasn't a fan of, as I had no idea what time on the day of it was arriving. There needs to be better communication.
It’s a nice sofa for the price. I am using it in my office, so it won’t see a LOT of use, but I am pleased. My husband put it together quickly, and he did remark that it seemed sturdy. Haven’t tested the twin mattress sleeping on it yet, although I did lay on it and was pleased that I felt no “uncomfortable bar in the back”. The fabric is thin, so I wouldn’t want it to be my everyday sofa, but I think it will hold up fine with occasional use. It’s a stiff sitting sofa, which I prefer, and the twin sleeper is a great convenience for an extra overnight guest.
We needed something pretty small that would still fit 2 people. Check! There were a number of those to choose from online but we also wanted a pull-out twin bed. Check! Of the remaining options, this was the nicest looking by a decent margin. Set up and in our space, it's very attractive, quite comfy, and seats 2 with plenty of space. You could even curl up and nap on it (which is my metric for a truly great loveseat). Some reviews have commented on the seat cushions being hard. They are on the firm side, but not at all uncomfortable and I expect they'll break in a bit. The pullout bed works well and lies flat with no intruding supports. The memory foam mattress is nice and works well with the spring suspension system. A plush mattress cover would probably make it a very comfortable bed. Construction and hardware is what you'd expect for the price. It's functional and adequate, but not exactly robust. It'll probably do fine if it's treated like a sofa, but if it's treated like a trampoline/jungle gym, I'd expect things to get pretty loose and creaky pretty fast. The biggest concern I have is with the fabric and how the cushions are upholstered. The fabric is nice looking but is thinner and softer than I would expect for a piece of furniture and I question how well it will wear. The cushions aren't covered all the way around with the fabric and the black synthetic gauzy stuff that covers what you can't see seems pretty chintzy. Then again, as long as it all does its job and holds up, it really doesn't matter how it seems. All in all, for $500ish (I got it on sale), it seems like a pretty darn good value!
Bought as a bed for my son when we moved into a smaller place and so far it's working perfectly. He loves his fold out bed and the mattress is actually pretty comfortable. The couch itself is a little stiff but not uncomfortable, I sat on several other sleeper sofas and for the price point I feel like this was very comparable with other, more expensive styles. It was easy to assemble and was the same look and color as the photos implied.
Just want to say from the start that I am very pleased with this sofa/sleeper. Purchased it for a guest room. The dimensions are not listed correctly in the Details. It should be 35 inches H x 32.7 inches D x 53.9 inches W. Had difficulty getting the box through the front door, so had to open up box outside and bring the pieces in. There are instructions stuck to a part of the inside of the box. We just happened to find it. Fairly easy to put together. The width of the mattress is a bit smaller than a standard Twin mattress. The length was fine. Timing was good as I had a guest sleep on it for the holiday. He said it was very comfortable!! And he's over 6 feet tall. I would highly recommend for a guest room/den.
