A: I think 5 year olds can actually start using the song book but it's fun before that anyway. I love playing with it as an adult.

A: Hi dane17. The piano is for children aged 3 years plus. It would work best if it was placed on a table and then the height would work for your 4 year old. You may also wish to take a look at the B. Meowsic, which is a larger toy that he/she can grow with. The Battat Team

Q: Does this seem sturdy enough for a toddler to not knock over frequently while playing? I'm debating if it will be too top-heavy for my one year old.

A: Hi mama. The piano is recommended for children aged 3 year plus. A toddler will not be able to use the piano as it is meant to be used and may knock it over and damage themselves and the toy. The Battat Team

Q: Can this be disassembled for easy shipping? Is the wood glued in to the red and green pieces? I've tried pulling apart, but don't want to pull too hard and break. I don't see any screws attaching to the wood.

My 8 month old was born without eyes and is fully blind. It has been difficult to find toys that keep her entertained. She loves playing this piano and will go to it multiple times a day. Her older sister and brother also love it so much and already know how to play some of the songs that come with it. It is an awesome piano with real keys and an excellent price. I may have to get a second one so they stop fighting over it!

This is basically an electric keyboard on a wood and plastic stand, but it sounds wonderful and is absolutely worth the money. I bought this for my baby sometime around 10 months or so and although it's been several months since, he still makes great use of it. It's got a button that plays pre-recorded music but he was getting distracted by it so my husband dismantled the thing and deactiivated it. :)

I bought 2 of these. The first one had clearly been returned and put back on the shelf, even though it didn't work at all. I returned it and set another for pickup at another store. This one was missing the sticker that tell what note each key plays. Both were missing the music book. I only kept this one to keep my toddler content, but I wouldn't suggest anyone else waste their time with these.

Bought this as a 1st birthday gift for my son and he has loved it ever since I helped him unwrap it. That kid absolutely loves music, even at such a young age he seems to have a genuine interest in music and this toy is definitely helping facilitate that. One reason I chose this one - and this is very important from a musical persepctive, you can actually play chords on this piano. Most kids toys seem to limit you to two keys simultaneously, but this one allows for 3+ for triads and extended chords. Obviously this isn't that important to a toddler immediately, but for the sake of being able to play something like piano and something like music, a root and a third without a fifth leaves a bit to be desired - not like this one, playing 7's, 9's, 13's etc

This awesome little piano is my baby's favorite thing. He started using it at 3 months old propped up by mom and dad. He sat independently for the first time while using it. At 10 months old he's still loving it and intentionally turns on the autoplay songs. We haven't had to change the batteries once yet. It's rated 3 and up but under supervision, I can't imagine why babies shouldn't all have this little piano.

Bought this for my 9 month old granddaughter. She loves it. It actually sounds like a piano. It has a small button that plays songs too. She is just pulling herself up to stand and it is sturdy enough for her to use for support. It also is designed so a child can easily sit at it with room for legs underneath.
