A: NOT dense, so no matter how lofty they claim it is it is NOT thick at all. you will need additional padding under. Also, the fabric is slippery so baby will kick herself/himself away from the piano.

I liked and disliked the material the mat is made of. It’s easy to wipe up spit ups but it also burned the hair off the back of my baby’s head when she would turn her head side to side. I liked the dangling attachments. I like and disliked the piano. It was good when she was younger and would kick it or sit at it. Now she’s 8 months and pulling up to stand and the piano broke. She’s not a fat baby. It just isn’t strong enough. The plastic popped out of the socket. We tried to super glue it back together but it didn’t work. I bought this for the versatility as she grows but it disappointed me.

Thin mat

The variety of toys and ability to use later is great but the mat for initial tummy time is too thin. If you buy this you’d have to put it over thick rug and/or carpet so that’s another purchase. Not great for hardwood floor home.
