Description
With just a touch, Baby Einstein and Hape’s Magic Touch Piano will let baby create thousands of different songs. This wooden toy features Magic Touch technology – no buttons or keys needed! Two modes of play let your toddler make her own music or play along with classic melodies on the Hape piano. Giving your baby toys that make music helps her tune into different rhythmic patterns and sounds at a young age. This musical development toy comes with 3 sheets of music. Baby will practice color coordination by matching the color-coded notes on the sheets to the keys on her piano. Join baby at the piano bench to have just as much fun! The volume control buttons let you turn the music to “low” when you need to or crank it up to “high” for a main-stage piano performance. At either volume, the higher end quality speakers make sure your baby’s sonata sounds just right. Great gift for musical toys for 1 year old birthday parties, Christmas, Hanukkah and more.

Q: What is the age for this toy
submitted by kendra - 2 years ago
A: Thank you for the question! The current recommended age range is 6-36 months.
Not safe, feet have a poor design that causes the whole piano to tip forward when the baby hit the front. This causes the top part of the piano to pivot right into the head/face. It should be pulled from market until fixed. Could be solved with longer feet. First time my daughter banged on it this happened and left a mark just above her eye.

The colors on the pages do not match the colors on the piano. The pink/purple and red/orange/yellow are very confusing.

We received this item today and batteries were leaking battery acid when we opened package. Target immediately remedied by sending a replacement unit, but battery acid could have caused major health problems if we didn't notice it.

Cute toy but definitely not for under 12 months. It topples over every time my son tries to play with it.

This product is a great value for the price. It feels so premium, the wood aesthetic is amazing for those who don't want a bunch of plastic toys around the house!

Perfect for my Little Mozart

We received this piano as a gift when we had our baby and I have to say, my daughter took to it immediately. Well...not immediately, she had to learn how to hold her head up first...THEN it was all about this little piano. Even before she could play the individual notes, she loved pushing the auto-play button. Brilliant little feature, by the way. She hasn't yet realized that the 'sheet music' that's included is color coded so she can play the song...which I LOVE because this super solidly constructed piano not only stands the test of time in it's durability, but it's relevance and functionality as well. Every kid on the planet should have one of these. Seriously.

My 7 month old loves this toy. it makes her giggle and she spends so much time playing with it but it's dangerous and really poorly designed in regard to stability. it was designed to be more pretty than sturdy and it flips over and smacks your baby in the face. it could have been so much better... I wouldn't reorder it even though my baby does love it. it's just not worth her getting smacked in the face by a wood piano

The design is off. This is not a toy for kids under 3. Anytime you push on the keys it topples forward and smacks the child in the face. We stopped using it after the 3rd time. She is now 2 and I still don’t think she’s ready. I would not recommend this product.

I wish I had read the reviews online before purchasing this in store. It's very cute and my baby loves playing it, BUT it smashes him in the face unless I hold it for him. Who designed this thing?! It needs some sort of base to keep it from toppling over and hitting him in the face.

Poor design. My baby loves to smack the keys or push down on them. However, it does will fall forward hitting them in the face. Which I hate cause she really likes it, but it has caused so many tears. I have to hold the backside the whole time she plays.

Likes: full octave of notes, bright colors, and sheet music to start teaching little ones how to read music Dislikes: packaging said it’s for 6 months up but anytime my 7 month old pushes on the keys it flips and the wooden part hits him hard in the head, no instructions just a YouTube video I had to find to figure out how the piano worked, sheet music isn’t labeled so I don’t know what the names of half of the songs are, there are no lights so my 7 month old loses interest quickly, and the half notes don’t work so I’m not sure why they’re painted on

I love this little piano. My one year old son loves banging on it and making music and I always find myself tinkering around with it as well. It does tip easily so I definitely recommend sitting your child with you when they are playing with it until they are older.

I bought this for my baby when she was first starting to sit, thinking it would help give her something to support herself with and be motivated by. Her first day playing with it, it flipped over and whacked her in the face, without her doing anything unusual - just playing with it the way it's meant to be played with. Into the closet it went until she was better able to support herself. I took it back out recently now that she's a great sitter, thinking she'd be able to occupy herself with it independently. Within a couple of minutes of play, she had again flipped the piano into her face. I don't want to let her use it until she's aware of exactly how to hold her hands while playing without it hurting her, but I'm pretty sure that by that time she'll be too old for it. Don't recommend.

Looks great but is dangerous because of the unbalanced design. When baby goes to play the piano, it tips over and hits him in the head. Really surprised this got past safety standards.

At first glance this seems like a simple harmless toy with a nice sounding piano. Wrong! The person who designed this is certainly not a genius. If your baby puts any weight whatsoever on the keys of the piano. The whole toy tips hard sending the large wooden plank directly into your child’s eye/forehead/mouth. We thought it would get better as our daughter got older, but no. After a fat lip, a black eye and knot on her forehead we are throwing this piece of junk away. How it got past even one safety check is beyond me.
