I was surprised how bad the food quality is. I cooked in the microwave but I can't see this being any better in the oven. The chicken has clearly been ground and pressed into shape before being breaded, it's borderline inedible, probably containing an amount of fat & gristle known only to the lord himself. I just don't understand how you can be so cheap, I was expecting real non-compressed white meat chicken & semi-real mashed potatoes. The only thing genuine in this dish is the corn & cheese. I'll be trying out the buffalo chicken & mac in a second and if that isn't any better, then I can guarantee Banquet will not be getting a cent from me in the future until some quality changes are made. YOU GUYS CALL THAT GRAVY?!? Here's a tip that will set Banquet up for success - don't cut corners, strive for the best quality of food & you will have customers for life. But as of now, that was literally the worst freezer boxed meal I have ever eaten, so bad that it caused me to take an extra amount of time out of my day to leave this bad review. Like, the Banquet chicken nugs are fire but this some gobbage, Gerald. Fix this, we the consumer, deserve better.
I have tried several of these and every time the chicken nuggets always are cooked to the point they are so hard they are almost impossible to eat. The can hardly be cut with a sharp knife. I cook them in an 1100 watt microwave for 7 minutes which is the minimum cooking time per your instructions. The microwave cooks other meals perfectly so it is not malfunctioning. I will have to try to do this in a conventional oven but that is inconvenient. I am sure your test kitchen has to run into some problems with this meal. How can it be cooked?
The chicken was small and terrible the rest was just mush. Tasted terrible. this went right down the disposal! Very disappointed in Banquet. Products are usually very good. Sorry you missed on this one.
I got these on sale at the local supermarket. Now I know why. They are basically chicken nuggets with a gravy substance, mixed in with some pasty instant potatoes. I followed the instructions to the letter. The coating fell off the chicken and the cheese was just a mass of goo that didn't mix or spread as shown in the box image.
