There's much to love about this doll! The new face sculpt is very unique and realistic. Her fro has a nice texture and is a not an overexaggerated size. I like that she is on a curvy body and her outfit is really cute while not being overly revealing like some Barbie clothes can be. The music related accessories and her dog add to her personality and give her a back story. I only wish she had an articulated body. Overall, great doll!

She has a beautiful face and hair and looks like a typical teenager. The accessories she comes with are fantastic, a record and record sleeve (my kids had no idea what this was), a laptop that opened and closed, a cute dog, headphones and a backpack which held all the accessories. We had issues with her headband staying on but clothes were easy to remove and put on. Overall my kids loved her.

I like that Mattel is also creating a more diverse line of dolls that come in different shapes. The only negative is even though the accessories are cool, my 3 year old will lose them in a week tops.

We are very impressed with how well this doll is made and how everything about it is realistic. Her hair looks amazing and the outfit is excellent too. This doll has the figure of an ordinary woman, not just skinny but curvy. My girls are enjoying playing with this barbie doll with their big Barbie collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doll was absolutely lovely aside from the backpack! Her accessories are different and fun. The backpack feels clunky being all plastic, but I understand it's easier to do a plastic backpack than a fabric one.

My Daughter was excited to get this Barbie and when her friend saw it and really liked it, she let her friend have it.

Neither my daughter or I have a curvy brown skin doll with natural curly hair. I love her hair, clothing, and accessories. I especially loved blue glittery backpack, the record, and that it came with a dachshund which we haven’t seen before either.

The accessories with this doll are also great and I love that they fit into her backpack. I am always disappointed with the limited articulation and the pet that are less realistic, more cartoonish. Overall this doll is great.

All her accessories fit in the backpack and it stays on whiles she wears it. The straps on the backpack did come loose here and there. Her hair is soft and comes with a headband and headphones. The biggest dislike that we had was that her arms and legs do not bend, and she cannot sit down.

When she started playing, she gathered up all the other Barbie dogs we owned and pretended that this Barbie was operating a shelter, which I thought was an adorable use of the toy. Her clothes fit well on other dolls, and she also fit well in clothing we already owned. I love that this Barbie is a little bigger than others, giving my daughter a good body image.

The doll is dressed super cute as well. Perfect for any little kid. The backpack is actually opened and the record can go in it. Such a fun toy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year-old daughter opened it and was delighted with the accesories, especially the backpack and the laptop and the fact that the latter fit in in the former. Not so much with the hair of the doll because she realized it was going to be very difficult to comb or to change hairdo. She also didn't like the fact that the hairstyle was different than the one in the picture. For some reason, she identified it as "Barbie Malibu", I think from a Netflix Barbie cartoon show, but she wasn't sure who the character was. She also liked the headphones, but wanted to remove the diadema to put those on the doll's head. I was surprised she knew what the record sleeve was for. The little dog was an immediate give away to her 1 year-old sister, after she couldn't put it in the backpack.
