Barbie and Horse Playset

Doll is lighter in person. But with a tan. Love that since my family is Mexican. We will be giving this to our child for Christmas.

She is paler than the usual Latina and darken than Barbie. She has shiny long black hair, a good amount. He articulation and boots are of great quality. I got her on clearance and I couldn't be more happy about it. Thanks Target!

Kids were disappointed to find the pink bridle was already broken upon opening. It seemed to be a lower quality plastic than some of the more expensive barbie horse sets. Only other con is the doll has painted pink legs instead of actual clothing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a fun set. The Barbie’s arms / legs bend to fit perfectly / realistically on the horse. My kids have so much fun playing with this set and the Barbie stays on the horse really well. I highly recommend this if your kids enjoy horses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cute set! My daughter was so excited to open it and start playing! The Barbie doll and horse are very well made and sturdy! It was a great addition to our growing Barbie collection. We loved the detail/color of the horse, and loved that it included a helmet for the doll (encouraging safety)! Things that we thought could of been a little better were the ability of the doll to stay on the horse, as well as some articulation in the elbows or wrists to help better hold the reins. I also did not like that the pants are permanently painted on the doll, and felt like there could have been a few more accessories included. Overall though, this is a cute set that would be perfect for a gift, and will encourage hours of play for a Barbie loving kid!

She loves how flexible the Barbie doll is so she can sit on the horse and ride! The horse is amazing quality and sturdy for all the riding the Barbie has done! Amazing toy!

Barbie is stylish as always wearing brown riding boots, pink riding pants, and a pink helmet. The horse is a beautiful white horse with a purple saddle and pink bridles. We are very happy with this set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barbie is flexible and has bendable legs. My 5 year old loves her. She is bigger than most Barbies, so other Barbie clothing will not fit. Her pants are painted on which is different. The helmet fits perfectly. Only wish it came with some accessories.

The horse is well made and sturdy. The accessories are nice, and easy for a child to use. Barbie is able to ride the horse, although it is a little tricky getting her to stay on. Overall, we have a very happy kiddo in our house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My very nearly five year old daughter is very interested in horses, so this has been a really popular item in my house. The quality is solid and we haven't had any issues with pieces breaking, etc. She regularly plays with the horse without the doll, but when she does use the doll, I personally have a complaint: the scale of doll to horse is way out of proportion. This would be like a six foot tall adult riding a Shetland pony. If I were designing this, the horse would be scaled up to work appropriately with the doll in question.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter’s favorite part of the Barbie with the Horse is the horse (which she named Elsa). She also likes that the Barbie has knees that bend so her Barbie can ride the horse. Bendable knees allow the Barbie to sit on the horse unassisted. My daughter does not like the fact that the Barbie’s hot pink pants are painted on. This doesn’t allow her to have her Barbie dress in other outfits without the hot pink pants. As a parent taking it out of the package, the plastic piece that held the horse’s mane down was difficult to remove. Overall, the Barbie with the Horse allows her to use her imagination and role play.

The doll can actually ride the horse and hold on to the lead and put the feet into the stirrups! And there was no adult interventions needed in order for the doll to ride the horse Also love how realistic the horse looks and it wasn’t one solid color!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a fun set for any horse lover that dreams of riding their own horse someday. Barbie is equipped with riding boots and a pink helmet to safely enjoy her time with her equine friend. I love that she is able to sit securely and independently in the saddle after placing her boots in the stirrups and her hands in the reins. Barbie’s legs and feet are bright pink (matching the bridle and reins). Her hip and knee joints are much more flexible than some other Barbie versions which makes it possible for her to sit in the saddle so easily. The horse is a little small compared to Barbie’s height, but not too noticeably, and it makes storing it a bit easier. My daughters will be galloping Barbie all over the house for some time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Daughter loved the packaging and presentation of the toy. She loved that the backdrop was removable for future play. As parents, we liked that it didn’t come with too many accessories so it was perfect for her age group, many of her past toys had tiny accessories that would get lost. The only flaw is that she had to learn to put the boots in the stirrups, perhaps specific instructions to insure that customers know to put the boots in in order for the doll not to fall off so easily would be recommended.

I will say that most of the horses she has to date are "vintage" models and this was the first recent addition to the stable. She was quite pleased with this horse and with the barbie doll. The colors were appealing and she enjoyed the accessories. The brushable main and tail of the horse were nice. I do find this toy was enjoyed greatly by our young barbie fan. I will admit as an adult to being somewhat disappointed that this model horse feels cheaper compared to the older ones. The hollowed sections in the horses legs are not aesthetically pleasing. Did the six year old care though? Not at all! Overall I really do recommend...But I do admit to being slightly annoyed at the design to leave hollowed out sections in the legs in an attempt I assume to cut cost/weight.

It's difficult to see in the pictures, but the horse is speckled and it looks great. The horse is well made, and we had no difficulty getting it to stand on its own, with or without Barbie on its back. Barbie's knees bend, which makes it easier to place her on the horse. My daughter didn't mind that the pants are painted on, and neither did I -- one less article of clothing to struggle with or lose! It's a small detail, but I appreciate that a helmet is included in this set because it encourages safety. I'm going to buy another set for my niece because she requested it for her birthday after playing with it at our house. This is a great set that any child will love.

Her knees bend so that she can actually sit on the horse. Her hair is long and fun to brush and style. Her horse is super cute with her purple saddle and pink reins. She is made of a thick sturdy plastic. The whole set is nice quality and perfect for any Barbie fan.
