I grew up on the Space Coast watching launches from Apollo to Shuttles. I have a space shelf on my bookshelf and it is nice to have Barbies in such interesting jobs. I have a few of these from this series and display them along with space topic books.
Beyond cheaply made.

This dolls knees can’t bend, her elbows can’t bend. She is hollow hard plastic. You can find better quality dolls at a 99 cent store. The outfit is cute, poorly made (the details are printed on) like almost everything Mattel makes anymore. Compare her to past Astronaut Barbies and you really notice the decline in quality. Funny there isn’t an American Flag printed on the outfit anywhere.
