Not only because it shares the same name as her grandmother but also because its so cute and easy to carry around. This doll was mostly played with in the car because my child just couldn't leave the house without her.

The party hats on Chelsea and her puppy are so cute! Over all, I think it’s a very cute set and my daughters are loving it so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy is a good toy for it to be collected. When it comes to playing with it, it is very difficult to get the doll to stand on its own. The joints don’t move and you don’t get the option to change clothes. The colors and materials chosen for the entire set are very good. The children will have a very fun time playing. Specially if they have other dolls they can play with to accompany this set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our daughters really enjoy the Chelsea Barbies I think because they are younger than the actual barbies so these are always a hit. We have a couple additional Chelsea barbies as well. We love this one since it comes with additional item, such as the dog and stand and small accessories. The cake cutter is a bit larger than the other accessories. We love that the hat on the dog can come off and the little stand is multi purpose. It's a great idea for a birthday gift, too with the cake and candle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This birthday surprise toy doubles as two toys. First it’s a super cute birthday party set-up with all the birthday trimmings. Then you can push the top of the party table down into itself and it turns into a doghouse for the pup that is included in the set. The toy itself includes Chelsea (of course!), her puppy, a full cake with a birthday candle, two slices of colorful birthday cake, a serving spatula, two birthday hats, two presents, two lollipops and a puppy balloon on a pink string. Chelsea and her dog can wear the birthday hats and they actually stay on their heads! What really impressed us is that Chelsea can hold the balloon and the lollipops in her hands. Everything is really well made and is sturdy in smaller hands. My daughter is 3 years old (almost 4) and she is able to put all the accessories on Chelsea and the puppy all by herself which is really nice. We like that you can play “birthday” or just “puppy pals” with this set. This toy has definitely been a favorite with my daughter since she opened it. I think the only downsides is that the parts are small, we’ve already lost one of the lollipops and the presents have this little loop on each side of them which makes you think Chelsea can hold them in her hands but she can’t. We kept trying to place them in her hands but couldn’t figure it out. With that being said this is still a solid cute playset that is so fun to play with.

The cake has a candle that can be removed as well. The overhead moves up and down for easy storage and doesn't take up much space. Perfect for a birthday present for a toddler and up since little pieces are included!

She particularly loves the puppy that came with it. This keeps her entertained; she plays with it independently and with others.

My daughter loved that it not only came with the Chelsea doll and the birthday treats, but also a cute puppy to enhance the play. We loved that there is the ability to put the birthday treats under the gift boxes so it looked like they were inside.

This is a very nice toy for kids 3 and up. It comes with a Chelsey barbie, a dog pet, a dog house that can be a stand for the birthday cake, two plates, a dog balloon and gifts. It is the cutest toy and perfect for hours of playtime. My little one loveds it.

The top pushes down to conceal the birthday table, making it look like a little doghouse with a Chelsea-branded roof. Pull it back up and it turns into a canopy over a serving table for Chelsea’s surprise birthday party, which is a fun and clever design. In addition to the Chelsea doll, puppy, and birthday table/doghouse, the set includes a nice variety of accessories. There are removable party hats for both Chelsea and the dog, a cake with a removable candle, two individual slices of cake, a cake cutter/serving utensil, a balloon animal, two wrapped birthday presents, and two lollipops that can be hidden underneath the gift boxes. The Chelsea doll also has removable shoes and a skirt, which adds to the play value. Our daughter loves dolls and is obsessed with puppies, so this set was definitely a hit. Her only frustration (and ours as her parents) was that a few of the smaller accessories were a bit tricky if not impossible to pose or get Chelsea to hold. It’s a minor complaint, though, and overall this was a great set for her.

She loves that the set converts from party stand to dog house and she uses it for her doll parties or the pet parties! The pieces are easy enough she can independently change them and pose them!

What I appreciate most is how durable the doll is. My daughter plays hard, and this Barbie has been through outfit changes, hair styling sessions, and countless adventures around the house, yet it still looks brand new.
