[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love anything olympics, so this was a natural pickup for our daughter since we had just watched the gymnastics of the summer games a few months ago. She's had a lot of fun putting on competitions between this new Barbie and a (almost falling apart) early 90s version. There are a few noticeable flaws. The kit has too much useless stuff. Why does it need a bag of potato chips? More knickknacks to get lost. Quantity at the expense of quality too. The gym bag that comes with it is hard to get stuff in and out of, the only opening a narrow slit that doesn't allow you to get your fingers into the bag. The uniform jacket is also hard to get on the doll. You have to bend the arms in wierd way, and even after several times it takes me quite a while just to get it in (my daughter cannot do it without help.) So fun, but would have preferred less better quality accessories.

She put one outfit on this barbie and the other outfit included on anoyher barbie and had one win the trophy and the other the medal. I love that this set allows her to use her imagination and that she has so much fun doing it. The little duffle bag can fit the majority of the accessories, which is nice since little pieces always seem to get lost. The quality on this set is also great and I expect it to last a while.

She loved how the accessories were a mix of both rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, she giggled so happily when she realized that the duffel bag actually opened and she could stick items inside of it, and she very happily took the second leotard to dress another Barbie and let her little sister play gymnastics with her. The ring that clips around the Barbie to let her do 'flips' on the beam was a big hit, and it was easy for her to put it on and take it off without frustrations.

The ring was a little hard for her to understand on how to use it to make the barbie spin because she kept hitting her own hand but she learned how to use it. Even took it to her class to show her friends. There are a lot of small peaces but she carried them around in purse so she didn't lose them.

The ‘ring holder’ lets you spin her, which is fantastic when little minds are creating gymnastic routines! She also comes with multiple leotards and a warmup jacket and pants. The accessories are fantastic too. All around a great Barbie set that any Barbie lover will enjoy!

My 5 year old daughter tried to place the outfit on the doll and the jacket teared easily. The material could be made better on the outfit. However, my daughter had fun playing with the doll and it reminded her of the recent Olympics. She loved that the set came with the balance beam and outfits for the doll.
