A: It is lightly scented with a natural vanilla coconut scent. It smells amazing, and isn't overbearing. Due to it being a face product, there is slightly less scent in it vs. their body products.

Q: Is the consistency still "runny" unlike the mineral sport spf for the body? Back in 2015, this face spf was definitely a different consistency to the body spf, which was thicker.

A: I have never used the body spf so I can't compare the two, but the face spf is a lotion not a cream. So it can be runny if you don't shake it up before use. To me it's a good consistency, light weight and sheer.
submitted byLeann - 7 years agoA: Hi Nicki, the face lotion is lighter in texture than the body lotion. If it seems particularly runny, try shaking before dispensing. Also, make sure you are storing the product in a cool place and replacing it every year or so.

A: Hi Danielle, This product is mineral oil free but does contain antioxidant-rich raspberry, grape and carrot seed oils help fight free radicals. This lotion has a unique cream-to-powder finish so it is great for oil and combination skin.

Q: Does this product have an expiration date? How long is the shelf life?

A: Yes! All of our SPF products will include an expiration date on the product component. For our SPF lotions you can find the expiration date embossed on the crimp seal of the tube (opposite of the tube opening). There will be a LOT# on one side of the tube and the expiration date will be on the other side, so definitely take a look at both sides of the tube! You should see the indicator as: EXP ## / ####

Q: Does this sunblock burn when you get in your eyes?

A: We definitely recommend applying sunscreen around the orbital bone and avoiding the eye area as irritation may occur if product comes into contact with the eye. Should product get into the eyes, rinse with water to remove.

This stuff is terrible. It has a white/blue cast when you put it on, and it comes off/turns white again when your skin gets wet. Not a good solution for sweating or pool/beach… A.K.A. summer.

I have medium brown, acne prone skin and this felt super nice on my face but it just didn't blend in at all and left a purple ish hue. However I think I'll finish it as a body spf. It felt soothing on my rosacea and felt just like putting on lotion. Probably would work best for fair skin.

If I could I would have rated this product lower. Not only did it turn my skin purple but it also made it impossible to get the purple tint off. Plz save your money and don’t buy this product I promise you will regret it.

I didn’t expect to like this that much but it’s such a good sunscreen for everyday face application, especially under makeup! It’s matte and doesn’t make me look oily (I have very oily skin). I also have sensory issues, and this doesn’t have the oily/sticky sunscreen texture that other brands have. I do feel like it’s a bit weird to apply because of the matte texture, and is easier if you dab a little bit on different areas of your face and then spread it evenly

Don’t waste your money if you have dry skin. This suncream is the most unflattering cream I’ve ever used. It shows every dry spot on my face and leaves with a heavy white tint. I’m very pale and you can still see it on me.

I’ve been trying to use a facial sunscreen on the daily and this mineral face sunscreen makes it so easy to do just that. It is so lightweight on my face and I love that it goes on almost powdery-like. It feels almost like a primer and does make my skin feel smoother. Yes it initially does have a white cast when you apply it but I find it disappearing within the minute. I’ve used other facial sunscreens that just feel sticky and heavy on my face but this sunscreen is the exact opposite. Highly recommend!

As a daily lotion, this one is a little heavy on the zinc-like qualities -- thick and white. Texture is lotion-like and it spreads well. I use it when I know I'm going to be out in the sun for extended time -- stays on, does not feel greasy after sweating, and protects for a long time.

This is my go-to sunblock. I much prefer mineral sunblock, and this exceeds expectations. The cream to powder formula glides over the skin so smoothly and provides an almost pore-reducing effect to the face. The formula is a silicone texture, but that doesn’t bother me. Bare Republic leaves a slight white-cast, but once the formula fully sinks into the skin the white dissipates. I love Bare Republic so much. This will forever be my facial sunblock of choice.

Bought this for my son that has nut/coconut allergies and SEVERE eczema. It protected him from the sun AND there was no stinging/itching/burning upon application to his eczema flared spots. It didn't cause his eczema to flare. It did give him a slight blue/purple tone to his skin after application; but that's small things to a giant.
