I purchased this book for my fiance, who is a huge Batman fan. She and I both loved DC's The Watchmen, and this book is often compared to that one. I found this book to be as dark and gritty as The Watchmen, if perhaps less easy to follow. You really miss how clear the drawings are in The Watchmen ...  see moreof Aaron's review
