we have played this game for years as a family. parts were all present in box but two grids were on backwards-which we were able to switch. Also, the pegs don't fit too easily in the holes-perhaps with time it will be better.

PEGS! So frustrating! I hope there’s a version out there that isn’t so difficult. The legs do not come out and everyone ends up frustrated in the end. It’s not worth the fun you had while playing! Such a bummer. Find a different game!

Pegs impossible to remove from board

I am adding to the list of folks who find that the pegs are impossible to remove from the board. The kids were having a ton of fun until they found they couldn't remove the pegs to play another game. I am even having a lot of trouble removing them with pliers. I'm sure there is a way to file away the excess plastic from the pegs, but that sure sounds like an incredibly tedious enterprise. What a waste through improper design!!

Pegs are basically IMPOSSIBLE to remove. It's incredibly frustrating as that's you know, basically what you do the entire game. How fo things like this get through testing/production???? Seriously, DO NOT BUY.

The game is fun but the pieces are hard to put in and take out. It was almost too hard for my autistic teenager. He needed a lot of help. I think I would opt for the electronic one

Extremely difficult to remove pegs

Received as a holiday gift - a throwback to a game I played growing up. I loved the nostalgia! However after one game I’m not sure we will play it again. The pegs are difficult to stick into the holes, but removing them was even more difficult once the game ended. It took pliers and a hammer to get them out. A couple pegs broke off in the process as well as the top peg board snapping off. Loved the idea but not the functionality of this retro throwback.

Pegs get stuck, ruins the game

Fun game, but the pegs are terrible and get so stuck in the board that we had to flip it over and pound them out with a hammer. We eventually used a drill bit to widen the holes and salvage the game but I don’t recommend buying this version

I still have my Battleship board game from when I was a kid. We pulled it out at Thanksgiving and played with my Grandsons. They loved it! When we saw we could buy this retro version, they both wanted one for Christmas. It is a great game to learn strategy.
