This game is great! We dove into it as soon as we arrived home, only to realize shortly thereafter that we should have read the instructions first. Once we read the instructions, it made MUCH more sense and made strategizing easier. So my biggest tip is read the instructions before you get started, because it IS played slightly differently than the “regular” Battleship I grew up on.
Not better than the original

Makes Battleship worse… 300 spaces vs 100 spaces.

As a big fan of Battleship when I was young I was excited for my kids to play this. After getting it set up I realized this game would be alot more fun and challenging than the normal Battleship. It's the same concept only with 3 levels that makes for hours of fun. Keep in mind it is for ages 7 and up. It didn't take long at all to put everything together and start playing. There's no stickers or anything like that just the trim piece that goes around the game which I think maybe helps stop little ones from peeking across. The case stores all the pieces when not playing and the trim piece comes back off and folds for next time. This game was definitely a hit with my kids!!! I have played this Battleship Outer Space game a few times with my son now. It has to be set up with the different levels every time you want to play and taken apart after using in order to store it in the box. I wish it had a different set up so we didn't have spend so much time setting it up and taking it apart. The game overall is pretty similar to the original with a few changes to make it go with the outer space theme. The game is fun and we enjoy playing it. This battleship outer space is such an awesome game for the entire family to play. We are having so much fun. The age says 7+ but my six year old plays with us and he loves it. The game is so well made. Meaning strong and not very easily breakable. It's like a three story battleship. How amazing is that? So many great memories when I was a kid playing the original game and this one is like the original on steroids . The pieces are easy to work with. The game is extremely easy to put together and play. As I said even for my six year old. We have literally spent hours and hours playing. Recommend this game to everyone. Love love love it. If you live battleship and outer space you will love Battleship Outer Space. My kids love both of these and loves the interesting kick on Battleship. Recommend for outer space enthusiasts. Great gift for children 6 and up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Fun game for me and my 9-year-old. It's a bit more complex than the original battleship. The space theme lets you imagine run a bit more and I would think this generation is more used to sci-fi than older naval movies so it probably connects with them better. A nice way to spend some time with him that doesn't involve a controller. Well worth the setup time and the 2 planes of being able to place your "ships" gives you a bit more time to think. The original Battleship is a great game and there’s really no reason to try to improve it. My kids, 9 and 6, found the new version frustratingly confusing. It’s also a large, unwieldy contraption, whereas the original is perfectly compact. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love battleship, playing as kids is a great memory. I was so excited to try this game. It has three levels, mostly same game. The only thing I didn’t like about it was I could barely see is the numbers and letters on the boards. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I loved this version of battleship. It was very easy to set up. It has 3 levels. You can play it the classic way of calling the row and the number spot or you can just select the row for a shorter game. With my 7 year old son we play selecting rows since he doesn’t have a long attention span for games. My husband and I played the traditional way of calling the spot and section but once we got to the last ships we switched to calling rows. If you liked the classic battleship you will enjoy this version just as much! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was excited to get this game as I had never seen it before. Ha ing 3 levels of play makes the game so much more exciting. My family loves space and they loved the fact that this was space and not the normal battleship game. My kids played for hours they were having so much fun. My son and I enjoyed playing Battleship Outer Space board game. It is similar to traditional Battleship apart from a handful of differences. There is three levels and during gameplay the player calls out the entire row rather than pinpointing the exact location. Assembling the game is quick and the frame doubles as a storage lid. Seeing that there is three levels the game takes more time. Consequently, I would suggest the game for older children. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
