Lumber Yard Styling Balm was designed to help you look like your awesome self—all day long. And hey, when your hair and beard look awesome, it gives you the confidence to Keep on Growing.
Lumber Yard Styling Balm delivers a medium hold that gives you a free-flowing, natural look while providing a satin-like finish. It’s flexible, so you can run your fingers through your hair without it feeling hard and crunchy. Beardbrand Styling Balm resists humidity and smoothes out frizz, making it perfect for those—dare we say—balmy days. For advanced styling, use it with Lumber Yard Sea Salt Spray to create layers of texture and volume.
Like all of our products, this bad boy is free of sulfates, silicones, and parabens—so it’s easy to wash out, and you won’t get product build-up in your hair.
Lumber Yard will have you smelling like you spent your day making sawdust—in a very good way. We pair together warm cedarwood notes with a subtle layer of sandalwood for a light, woodsy fragrance.

I have been using this product for years and it has been excellent. Unfortunately they have changed the formula completely to something that in no way resembles what it’s actually supposed to be. The new product smells terrible, nothing like the actual woody lumber like scent it used to have. And the texture feels like lotion instead of the more viscous texture it’s supposed to have. I had to buy and return many jars of this to come to the conclusion that Beardbrand has just ruined it and it’s probably not coming back.

This balm smells terrible, both my wife and I were disgusted by it. Unfortunately this means I have throw it out.

Hey Kristin! We're sorry to hear you aren't a fan of the fragrance. Lumber Yard is designed to be subtle with notes of Cedarwood and Sandalwood, but we do recognize that fragrance is subjective and may not be for everybody. Check out Stone Mason for an alternative fragrance or Blank Slate if you want to let your cologne do the talking. Both are available on Target.com!

I literally can’t believe people are rating this so high. It smells like tobacco, makes me want to vomit. Returning immediately. Their other scents are better, but this was the only one available in my store

Beardbrand gifted this item to me, and I couldn't be happier. They make the best products for men, without all of the fuss. It's simple to use, and makes you smell like a man. Use it on your beard and/or hair for a great look!

This works just as well as the Gold and Silver lines. The beauty of it is most definitely the price; you're paying a fraction of the price through Target. Thank you for this option.

As a longtime fan of Bearbrand products, I find this styling balm to also be a quality item. It gives me the option of how much I use to help manage my beard, and it also leaves a very nice shine to my white beard.

Scent matches well with the other products in this line. Definitely provides a solid hold. My beard is still on the shorter side, so I’ve been using it primarily in the mustache and it makes a decent replacement for mustache wax.

Finally! A Balm that I can Love

Beardbrand products are some of my favorites and this styling balm is no exception. This balm smells exactly what the title implies, a lumber yard...it's a manly, sawdust scent that I enjoy using. The hold of the balm is exactly what I'm looking for too. I like a balm that will keep my hair in place but doesn't make my hair crusty so that I can still touch it if I want to. I'll typically combine this balm with the sea salt spray to give my hair some texture and volume and keep it in place with the balm. I also like that a little goes a long way. Don't be afraid of the price, it is worth it and lasts quite a while.

I am a huge fan of all Beardbrand products, but I’ve never tried the Lumber Yard Styling Balm. I received this as a gift from Beardbrand, and it is excellent. The Styling Balm provides an incredible all-day hold, doesn’t make you look like you gelled you’re hair up, and pairs perfectly with all the Lumber Yard products. I would highly recommend this product, and any of the Beardbrand White Line products available at Target. You get amazing value for the money.

Definitely a very masculine and woodsy scent. As far as styling products for beard, the hold is fantastic. I feel like it made the beard feel thicker as well and more controlled. BeardBrand is an awesome company. They gifted me this item and I’m so glad I got to test it. Very pleased.

I've enjoyed a lot of beardbrand's products, but this one fell a bit short for me. I didn't find it particularly great at styling my hair since the hold wasn't as firm as I expected, and it didn't wash out as easily as some other water-based products i've used previously. I do find that it works pretty well for my beard, so i'll keep it on hand for that use exclusively, but would not recommend it for use on the ole' dome.
