Stylish and functional, the painted, galvanized steel construction prevents rusting and messy leaks while it stores your organic waste on your kitchen counter or under the sink. This pail is such a steal! Love the colors, as I'm not a big fan of stainless steel color. The metal is easier to clean and get rid of smell compared to plastic compost pails. Love the carbon filter to keep scents to a minimum. Incredible value on sale, most other metal compost bins are $40. Nice and compact, doesn't use up a lot of counter space. Closes well, made of durable materials. We set it on top of a cork coaster so we could scoot it around without scratching our stone countertop.

It’s a really cute countertop compost bin and holds a decent amount before we have to empty it into the outside compost. It doesn’t smell and doesn’t seem to attract flies (which is great when it’s on the counter). BUT it’s not made to last. The handle, handle hinges and lid knob are plastic. Within the first month/few weeks of use the screws on the inside started to rust. If you’re composting, chances are you’re also trying to reduce plastic waste, so the theory of putting a liner inside your compost bin is ludicrous. Then you’ll have to keep buying liners (even if they are biodegradable) that have more plastic packaging and more trips to the store. If you want a well made tabletop compost bin, look elsewhere.

This is the best solution to our stinky garbage can. We put all wet garbage in here and have to take out big garbage can way less. It is a lot bigger than I anticipated and does take up a good bit of counter space but well worth it

I love this compost can. I leave it on the kitchen counter, which makes it so convenient. I first ordered it online and it arrived with a dent in the lid. The app told me there was a Target in my general vicinity that had it in stock, so I went there to exchange it. The store had two, and one of those was dented also. For that reason, I would not recommend ordering it online.

This bin is nice because it’s cute, and is 1.5 gallons versus 1.3 (which is another bin that I used to have.) my complaint is that I dropped the lid on the floor and the lid got a dent and actually tore a bit. Bummer!

Living on the second floor we are too lazy to bring the compost down every day. And, we sometimes need to throw out old food in addition to cooking scraps. This can crushed my boyfriend’s dream to build a sort of rotten potato gun that would have gone from our kitchen window into the back yard and made permanent enemies of our neighbors. We used to just use a 2 gallon plastic bucket, but the lid was ill-fitting and it just looked a little garish.

This compost bin ticked most the boxes: decent size, attractive with no garish signage plastered on it. I think it's overpriced, but grew tired of looking for something less expensive that I liked as well. There is no rubber gasket on the lid to give it a tight fit, but the lid has some heft and extends down into the bucket about 3/4 of an inch. The knobs are made of plastic which is disappointing given the price of the item. It will sit unobtrusively on my counter and serve it purpose though.
