WARNING: Now contains milk. I bought these religiously for years due them not containing dairy. Well, that has now changed with their new recipe. Betty Crocker really ruined it for people with food allergies....

I've been using this product for years and everyone has always loved the cutout sugar cookies I make for a few holidays a year. I tried this new bag at Christmas not realizing the recipe had changed but it sure did. Cookies came out rock hard which has never happened and they did not soften after a day or two like they normally do. Disappointing. Might as well make from scratch. These used to be the best.

When I saw the recent reviews I was a bit hesitant to open the package I had. But these were good! I did add in vanilla and lemon extract, just a splash, I didn’t measure because why not. I cooked at 350 for 12 min and used parchment paper. No issue with texture and didn’t have any problems with the dough coming together. Five stars for easy cookies that I can flavor with whatever I feel like.

I read the reviews after one bag was a total flop… so, thought I had this figured out to attempt a second bag. Added 1/2 cup flour and two eggs, mixed then added an additional 1/2 cup flour without any change. What in the world do I do for the third bag? We are celebrating Christmas late this year due to weather…. But the annual Christmas cookie decorating part of our family get together will be ruined if I can not get this third bag to work…. Please help me with advice……

These were tasty with a slight chew. My arm got tired mixing the batter because it doesn't use much wet ingredients and took a while. I had my husband jump in and help. I rolled the dough into balls and baked them. They looked exactly like the cookie in the photo. I got 24 regular sized cookies.

Whatever was done to the sugar cookie dough needs to be changed back. They cook up rock hard no matter what you do. I tried several batches and they were just awful. I have used this product for 40 years but will not be buying it again .

Horrible. This used to be a great product but not anymore. I'm super disappointed in the current product that just produces an overly sticky lump of dough. I used to use it for cut outs and vars but no longer. Back to scratch for me. This used to be as good as scratch.

To make these roll and cut, melt the butter, add 3 tbsp flour and mix. Add flour in 1 tbsp amounts until the dough is a ball instead of mushy. Flour the surface, the dough, roller, and cutter. It will work, you just have to do it like all other doughs that are roll and cut.
