Insightful, easy to read, and incredibly helpful! In a supportive and encouraging tone you'd want from a best friend, BFF or NRF gives you real solutions to friendship challenges. The fun and useful quizzes, and the unique Friendship Pyramid, combined with the nurturing wisdom and guidance you'll find in these pages will help pre-teens and teens to navigate the sometimes rough waters of friendships both today and in the future. It really is a must-read!

Did you know what a healthy relationship looked like when you were in middle school? How be a better friend? What bullying among girls looked like? I didn't and neither did my daughter. But BFF or NRF shows you how to successfully handle those tough social situations middle school girls have -- and it does it in a positive way. I wish my daughter had read this book when she was in middle school. I wish *I* had read this book when I was in middle school.

This is an essential read for every young girl! My daughter loved the interactive style of the quizzes which really helped her focus on specific friends individually. I liked the great focus on not just knowing what a good friend is, but also reminding my daughter that she has to know her own qualities and learn how to be a good friend in return!

Great book for preteen and teens!

I love this book! As the mom of preteen and teen daughters I found BFF or NRF to be a quick read that gets right to the important topics. It is full of great advice along with great situational examples that are easy to understand and apply. I appreciate the quotes throughout the book from preteen girls who shared their real-life experiences as well. My daughter also read this book and mentioned how she would manage situations that she's been in differently and with more confidence in the future with these new tools.

Great Read for Tween Girls

Must Read for Tween Girls - 2 years ago
My tween and teen daughters and I have all read this book and it helped them understand how to interact with their peers more constructively. The book is written in an approachable and fun way that meets tweens and teens where they are. Jessica has a knack for understanding kids and how their world works, so it's a book that is very relatable to this age group. My girls loved the interactive portions of this book and it made them think more deeply about their friendships and how to diplomatically deal with difficult peer relationships. I have recommended this book to several other parents and can't recommend it highly enough!

Great Learning in a Perfect Package

I’ve recommended this book to several friends - and wish I’d had this when I was a teen! I love it for many reasons: information delivered in a straightforward, friendly manner; cheerful illustrations with lots of space for quiz responses; and emphasis on self-awareness and self-care, honest conversations, and the reality that friendships change over time. These skills are right on the money for navigating teen friendships and really, setting the foundation for successful relationships in life.
