Description

BIBS Colour pacifier has been a favorite for both moms and babies for over forty years; the BIBS natural rubber baby pacifier allows your child to self-soothe by exercising their sucking instinct in the most natural way possible by mimicking both the shape and soft materials of the mother’s breast. This pacifier is recommended by midwives to support natural breastfeeding. Their classic appearance captures a timeless and elegant look—designed and manufactured in Denmark.

The BIBS Pacifiers are 100% free from BPA, PVC, and phthalates. For optimal safety and hygiene, replace the pacifiers every 4-6 weeks. If your child has teeth, please be aware of signs of damage or weakness in the material. Always inspect your pacifier before use and replace the pacifier at the first sign of damage or weakness. Do not put pacifiers in the dishwasher or sterilizer or leave them in direct sunlight. Do not freeze pacifiers.

Available in three sizes: Size 1 (0+ months), Size 2 (6+ months) & Size 3 (18+months).

Round Nipple: The round nipple resembles the shape and size of the mother’s soft nipple and promotes a similar tongue placement and sucking technique as when breastfeeding since the round shape allows the sides of the tongue to elevate and cup around the nipple.

Round Shield: The round BIBS shield is equipped with three vent holes and round BIBS engraved handle ring. The shield is carefully designed to curve away from the sensitive and delicate skin around the baby’s mouth to prevent moisture build-up.

When it comes to pacifier nipples no size or shape is right or wrong because all babies are different. Babies have different preferences, different sucking techniques, and different mouth anatomy. Bibs offers a variety of pacifiers that meet all your baby’s unique needs.

o Shield Shapes: Round, Supreme & Infinity
o Nipple Shapes: Round, Anatomical & Symmetrical
o Nipple Material: Latex or Silicone

Cleaning & Quality: Always sterilize each pacifier before use. Do not use sterilizer. Pour boiling water over pacifier no longer than 5 minutes. For hygienic reasons and/or wear and tear, we recommend discarding pacifier after 4-6 weeks. BIBS pacifiers are made with natural rubber which is a natural material that may expand and degrade when used, exposed to sunlight and due to baby's suction.

If you experience water in the nipple:
After cleaning it is not unusual that water remains in the nipple. This is because all our pacifier nipples are equipped with a valve, letting out air when the baby closes down on the nipple. This ventilation system causes the air from inside the nipple to be pushed out through the valve thereby flattening the nipple to shape naturally after the baby’s oral cavity. The valve is also the reason why water can be present inside the nipple after cleaning and sterilization. If this is the case, simply just squeeze the nipple flat to press out the excess water. If water drops remain in the nipple, just let the pacifier air-dry.

Okay, these pacifiers are great. They are so cute and when my little one wouldn’t take a pacifier at all, she took these well. The low rating bc they are expensive and I feel like they need to be replaced way too often bc water easily gets inside the rubber and once that happens, I worry about bacteria and mildew/mold inside there. These are recommended to change every 6 weeks but we don’t even make it the six weeks before I feel like they get gross on the inside.

Thank you so much for reaching out. We are happy you and your baby have been enjoying the BIBS Pacifier. You may experience water in the nipple because all our pacifier nipples are equipped with a valve, letting out air when the baby closes down on the nipple. The valve is also the reason why water can be present inside the nipple after cleaning and sterilization. If this is the case, simply just squeeze the nipple flat to press out the excess water. If water drops remain in the nipple, just let the pacifier air-dry. Please also keep in mind the reason we suggest switching out the pacifiers every 4-6 week is for baby's safety as natural rubber latex will expand overtime with use. If you have any further questions please contact care@bibsworld.com

I love these pacifiers. I ordered a size 2 and package indicated size 2, but the pacifiers inside were size 1. Placed our current size 2 in picture for comparison.

Thanks for reaching out! Our pacifier nipples are made from natural rubber latex, which is a 100% natural material. This comes with a natural aging process affected by natural influences like UV light, air, saliva, and heat. The elasticity of the material allows the nipple to change shape and size because of the baby’s strong vacuum, this means that the nipple in some cases can expand if it is not replaced in time. Some children will not take a pacifier that is different from the one the child is used to. So, if you experience that the pacifier expands replace the pacifier before the child gets used to the bigger nipple size. Always replace pacifiers every 4-6 weeks for both safety, and hygienic reasons and since the natural rubber latex nipples in some cases can expand. Whenever you experience a change in the material the pacifier must be replaced. Natural rubber latex pacifiers must be replaced when you see the following signs: Changes in the surface Changes in size Change in shape Rupture in the material Becomes brittle or sticky In your case, I could also recommend trying our size 3 pacifier. If you have any other questions, you can always reach out at care@bibsworld.com

I wanna say first off my son LOVES his bibs pacifier but I have come to realize two things… 1 it traps and insane amount of bacteria and moisture and absolutely no way to clean them.. and 2 they can split and makes it a choking hazard. I can’t believe there is no good way to clean them and also I can’t believe how easy it is for them to split. I would never let my son have this pacifier and I want to worn anyone who gets them that they are dangerous. They need to come out with a better model of pacifiers because again it was the only pacifier my son likes and it’s upsetting this is the outcome
1 reply from Bibs America Team team - 2 months ago
Hi justamama, Thank you for reaching out to us about cleaning and breakage in your son's pacifier. I hope we can offer you some information on all of your questions. Let's start with splitting in the nipple. At BIBS, we offer pacifiers in two materials: natural rubber latex and silicone. You can read more about the differences here (https://us.bibsworld.com/blogs/guides/natural-rubber-latex-vs-silicone), but in brief, natural rubber latex is a natural material made from tree vs silicone which is an industrially manufactured hypoallergenic material known for its purity. As natural rubber latex is a natural material, it also comes with an aging process affected by natural influences like UV light, air, saliva, and heat. The elasticity of the material allows the nipple to change shape and size because of the baby’s strong vacuum, this means that the nipple in some cases can expand if it is not replaced in time. This is why natural rubber latex pacifiers should be scalded rather than boiled and why we urge parents to replace their child's pacifier every 4-6 weeks for safety and hygienic reasons. Silicone pacifiers are sturdier than latex pacifiers, they retain shape, do not age, can withstand high temperatures, and last longer, however they are not as soft as latex pacifiers. At Target, we offer our "De Lux" Silicone Pacifier, (https://www.target.com/p/bibs-de-lux-silicone-pacifier-0-3-years-2pk/-/A-83876952?preselect=83781957#lnk=sametab) maybe this would be another option for your son if you would like to try silicone instead of latex. Secondly, let's talk about cleaning. You can watch a full video on cleaning our pacifiers here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vJA2O6JCtE&feature=youtu.be) or read a full article on our website here (https://us.bibsworld.com/blogs/guides/how-to-clean-my-pacifier-the-right-way), but I will address your concerns directly here as well. Part of good pacifier hygiene is to frequently clean them. This can be done simply by putting them in a clean bowl, pouring boiling water over them for about 5 minutes, and then drying them with a clean towel. After cleaning, it would not be uncommon that water remains in the nipple, this is because all of our pacifiers are equipped with a valve, letting air out when the baby closes down on the nipple. If water remains inside the nipple, simply just squeeze the nipple flat to press out the excess water and then let the pacifier airdry any remaining water drops.

I got these pacifiers because i had a registry at target they came in like a gift bag from target. I used them in the hospital as soon as my daughter came out the womb and she immediately loved them. Basically she became attached to the grey one because it expanded and eventually ended up splitting. I have tried all 3 sizes of there pacifiers and she refuses them and every other brand of pacifiers. she truly only loved the gray one because the nipple expanded so much and she used it everyday. Now my daughter literally screams everyday and I have no way to soothe her because nothing can replace her pacifier. Idk maybe they should make a disclaimer that this can happen or something bc i had no idea and im glad i caught the split before she choked.

If I could give zero stars I would. The first time our son used these, the rubber nipple came almost completely off the plastic! I’m so thankful I checked them before putting him down for his second nap. He could have literally choked in his sleep. I thought maybe it was a bad batch, but I have ordered these THREE times. They ALL detach from the plastic. Please do not purchase these, and if you already have them make sure you check them OFTEN. I’m posting a picture for reference.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with "BIBS" try It colour latex pacifier- 3 Pk. They were literally a life saver at nap and night time sleep. It has 3 different natural rubber shapes to fit your baby needs, round, anatomical, and symmetrical. I love the color vibe of bohemian/boho pink peach, it also came with a same color braided pacifier clip. My baby girl is 4months who had issues latching due to tongue tie loves the round shape pacifier at night and prefer the symmetrical 1 at nap time. The only cons is even though the pacifiers are natural rubber, washing them causes water to collect inside the nipple, also around the nipple base it collects food and debris/ lent, making it hard to clean.

Got these for free in the target baby registry welcome bag. So much water/moisture gets stuck inside of the nipple with no way to fully dry it out. Seems unsafe and major potential for mold growth. Throwing these away.

I am obsessed with BIBS. My children have loved them for years. They age really well, they recommend you change them out every six months; however let’s be honest as parents we forget when we purchased them and I’m sure most of my daughters pacifiers went past a year before I threw them out. She loves to nibble on them and they hold up to everything. I love the cute colors they have. I just wish that they were a little cheaper considering it’s a pacifier lol.
