Bid, Bluff & Buy Strategy Game

Bid, Bluff & Buy Strategy Game - image 1 of 2

About this item

Get ready to experience the excitement of a real auction and discover your new favorite party game, Bid, Bluff & Buy. This lively new game from E3 Publishing combines intriguing facts with the fun of trivia, the excitement of bluffing and the luck of a lottery. The outcome is always entertaining and unpredictable.
You don't need to know the facts to enjoy this game. You simply need to be able to bluff, cajole and tempt others into overpaying for their lots (items up for bid) while you underpay for yours. The better you are at bluffing and reading other people, the better your chance to win. Bid, Bluff & Buy is short enough to captivate your interest but long enough to keep everyone on their toes from start to finish.
To begin playing, choose an auction from one of five popular categories: Music, Movies, Television, Sports or History. In each auction, there are 10 lots up for bid. One player will assume the role of the auctioneer and the other players will be bidders. Each player, including the auctioneer starts the auction with the same amount of money. In the end, whoever has the greatest wealth based on the total value of the lots they own, plus their remaining cash is the winner. If the auction house has the most wealth at the conclusion of the auction, then the house wins! Can you beat the auction house and the other players?
There are 20 different auctions and a total of 200 lots available to bid on. All of the lots in this game were sold in a real auction and the actual price paid is an important part of the game. You will enjoy seeing what these very recognizable items sold for in the real auction.
The amount of times you can play each auction is endless since the value of the lot changes every time you play (based on the winning bid). Plus, there are four different variations of each auction, giving you up to 80 different auction games to play.
Whether you are the auctioneer or a bidder, you will always have fun playing Bid, Bluff & Buy

Bid bluff and Buy was a great game to play as a family. I wasn't too sure about it at first because the instructions were difficult to understand. But once we got the game going and we started getting the hang of it we played five times in one day! My husband wanted to keep playing because he won of...see moreof the reviewer's review

Really enjoyed playing this game with 6 people! Bid Bluff and Buy is a unique game concept and one we all found fun to play. The, "Did you know" listed at the end of each item gave our group a "No, did not know that!" response. So, we did learn something with each item. Enjoyed the large range of it...see moreof the reviewer's review

We played this game on Christmas night, and everyone had a great time! I've seen other reviews stating that it is difficult, which I don't disagree with, however so are many of the classics like Risk, Monopoly, etc. and this requires a similar level of strategy. Once you get the hang of it, you see ...see moreof the reviewer's review

Not since Trivial Pursuit have I had as much fun playing a board game as I did with Bid, Bluff and Buy. There were several of us that got together to play Scattergories for the night and my friend brought this out. Nobody else had heard if it, but after we played the first game, we couldn't put it a...see moreof the reviewer's review

A fun game for friends or family. We played several of the auctions and we really liked the sports, history and music categories the most. I like the fact that the items are relevant and interesting and I can think of many other possible categories. We did not have a dedicated auctioneer and this al...see moreof the reviewer's review
