BIG BOY shelves are ideal for displaying décor, memorabilia, books or any other items you wish to display elegantly in your home. Can be paired or lined together to create a continuous shelf, or attached to the wall as a standalone. BIG BOY shelves are available in a variety of sizes and colors including: Mocha, Walnut, Vintage Oak, and White. Each BIG BOY floating shelf includes two internal hidden metal mounting brackets that are easy to install and invisible which give the shelf its floating appearance. The supplied shelf supports are easily adjusted to level the shelf during installation. We have recently upgraded our drywall anchors that ship with all Dolle Shelving products. The new white TOX drywall anchors perform far better and work perfectly for solid and secure installation. Anchors and screws are literally inside the shelf and I can’t get them out. The shelf was delivered in its original packaging with no evidence of ever being opened. I will have to purchase new anchors and screws to mount it. Between this and reading past reviews, I don’t have high hopes for installation.

If you have a level, drill, hammer, and pencil this is easily installed. These shelves are also sturdy and hold tight unlike cheaper versions of floating shelves.

They definitely do not feel like they’ll hold much weight as other reviews mention but I don’t plan on putting much on them. I agree they should’ve come with a template but I made my own using a strip of cardboard and which made mounting them a breeze.

It looks nice BUT is such a disappointment. Bad hanging instructions and no template. After a failed first attempt (due to poor instructions), we had to get new anchors. We made a template and got it hung up, but now it’s sagging forward. It seems like the MDF on the inside isn’t strong and tight enough to secure the shelf. Do not recommend!

For an extra $0.05, they could have included a template that would make hanging this much easier. Because the brackets are asymmetrical, it's critically important that you make and use a template to hang this properly. Also, they should have spaced the brackets in 16-in intervals to line up with studs.

It’s not a seamless installation as they make it seam. Once the brackets are up the shelf has additional internal holes you have to get them into. They don’t light up well. I do not recommend these at all.

Big Boy shelf is good design didn't have much trouble at all putting up shelf and it seems very sturdy. I was screwing it into wood so I had trouble with the phillips head screws ( had to screw in star head screws first then phillips head would go in) and wished you had star head screws but I made it work. Your screws had a big head so I wanted to use them. The only other thing is I don't really like the wood veneer and would rather had real wood. I will change that later.

The shelves look good installed. The install process can be challenging. They should take a play out of IKEA’s playbook and have one solid bracket instead of two smaller ones. I would gladly pay the extra amount knowing it is perfectly level and installed correctly, than have to constantly tweak the two brackets for fitment.

We bought the 22.5 and 35.5 lengths - they are great shelves. My husband watched the installation video and had no issues. They appear more prominent/bulky in person, but they still look great and are very reasonably priced.

I have spent 4 hours trying to get these shelves up and they are crooked. I have 7 holes in my wall and the anchors bent. I haven’t even opened the second one.

I was a little apprehensive about installing this item with the reviews, but that really wasn’t an problem. I watched a tutorial and it was easy to install. The issue I have with this product is that it’s too heavy and leans forward. A ball will slide right off. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get it closer to the wall I would love to hear. Also one of the corners were delivered dented in.
