BISSELL CleanView Pet Slim Corded Stick Vacuum - 2831

I've had this vacuum for two years now. Right before the warranty was up the cord started becoming finicky and would only work if it was held a certain way. I contacted Bissell to pretty much find out the warranty was useless because I didn't have my receipt even though the customer service rep was able to see that the vacuum was still under warranty based on the serial and model number. I was told I could take it to a vacuum repair store where I'd have to pay for the repair. Well, today this thing started sparking and smoking where the cord comes out of the vacuum. Thank god my hand wasn't right where it happened or I would've gotten shocked or burnt. This thing went right out to the trash where it belongs. It sucks because it did a great job of cleaning our floors with 3 shedding pets.

I use this daily for vacuuming up pet hair and dirt (also from the pets 🙃). This works awesome and it is relatively quiet! I had one issue with the vacuum (hose wore out, almost 2 years old when it happened) but it was covered under warranty and it was super easy to get help from Bissell! The customer service was amazing. Coming from a clean freak who loves trying out new products, I would totally recommend adding this to your Bissell line up!

The bushing that's holding the sides together broke and now it makes this loud noise every time you put it into the mode for a carpet 1/10 don't recommend. Will break on you.

I LOVE this vacuum! It easily fits in our upstairs coat closet, which is what I was looking for. I wanted a vacuum I could quickly pull out for kitchen messes. This picks up way more junk than our previous stick vacuum, but it's significantly heavier. That's my only complaint. It's also corded, so I'm still probably going to hang on to our cordless stick vacuum to clean the stairs.

I had been wanting a new vacuum for awhile and was tired of spending money to find one that worked to my liking. I absolutely LOVE this one. It's SO light and works well. It came with the hardware to hang from wall, different hose options. I have a tough spot in my living room rug and all my vacs have gotten caught up on it.. except this one!!!

Bought this as a gift for a friend who just moved into a small apartment. She said it works great.

It's a great vacuum for pet hair and it easily goes from carpet to bare floor with no adjustments. I have bought 4-5 of them for family and friends. The only down side is it doesn't stand up on its own. Goes easily in small spaces and under beds.

This works so well! Love the carpet to hard floor option. Easy to take apart. Tall and not too loud. Sucked up SO much I didn’t even know was there. 10/10

To start the suction on this vacuum is incredibly weak . It’s advertised for pet hair but does a terrible job picking it up. It feels flimsy while using it’s definitely not worth the price tag. The only good part of the vacuum is the availability to mount it to the wall and it is light weight. Besides that this is a vacuum I will be returning.

Recently bought, used 3x now. I went corded because everything I'm reading about cordless vacs suggest that battery issues will begin in 3-4 years. We keep things a very long time, so I wanted to ensure longevity. I didn't love the colors of this model, but it seemed smarter to buy the newer model even though it's ugly red. Pros: It's not as lightweight as the Featherlights, but even for someone like me with shoulder issues, it's still light enough to easily lift it off the wall mount and not feel tired carrying it about. It does a great job getting every little spec from our hard floors (vinyl plank flooring). Maneuverability is unparalleled. It's so easy to change direction on a dime. It's low to the ground, so I love that I can get it under things I couldn't with our full-sized vacuum. It does a great job on all of our throw rugs, and performing best on tightly-woven ones. Cons: Our living room area rug has higher pile, so I flip to the rug mode (so the brush spins) and it definitely requires great effort to move it along. I worry I'm going to burn the motor out doing that, so I try to be fast. I'd never attempt using this in our carpeted rooms - it suctions way too hard and I feel like doing a whole room would ruin the unit. So, that means I have to ALSO keep our Bissell regular upright vacuum (which I was planning to sell for cheap to save space). Don't get me wrong, it makes the area rug cleaner than I've seen it other than brand new. It just doesn't feel like it was made for that. Other big cons: Stick vacuums like this do not freestand on their own. If you have to stop to move something, you must lean this. I thought it wouldn't bother me, but as my first stick vacuum, it really does. Something about the cord wrap placement annoys me too. Also, converting to handheld is not easy - you have to fully unwrap the cord to do so, which is poor engineering. If I'd been able to try before buying, I think I'd keep looking. Too late now, but it at least performs well!

I didn’t like the way that the dust collector is weird you have to pull up and it ejects out from the container it makes a big dusty mess and gets on my hands. Second problem is it is dangerous and doesn’t stand on its own. It slammed down on my big toe one night because it was propped up in a corner. Then again into the wall like I always have to be holding it or else 😠and third it doesn’t have very strong suction and as time goes by it gets weaker so I don’t really recommend it unless it goes on clearance because it’s a 200$ vacuum that is only worth about 50$-60$

I don’t remember how long I’ve had this vacuum for. I want to say 2-3 years. It’s fantastic at picking up dog hair from my carpet so much so that I have to empty out the contents about 4 times to clean the entirety of my bedroom where my 3 large (German Shepard and Siberian Husky) dogs like to hang out. Saying that, I always wished the canister could hold more so I wouldn’t have to empty it out so often. I took one star off because…unfortunately, the hose tore. It tore at the bottom where the head tilts. No wonder it wasn’t suctioning up anything anymore. I didn’t find this out until yesterday. Now I’m on the hunt for a new vacuum. Would I repurchase this? I’m thinking about it. I know how good it works. The price point is decently affordable. For my next vacuum I wanted to purchase a Shark vacuum that costs $449 but currently on sale for $349. I don’t have a lot of money and can’t really afford to spend money like that on a vacuum. I’m a broke college student with $700 to my name and no job. If I bought that Shark Vacuum I would be left with $350! I’m thinking real hard here. Maybe I’d rather purchase a ps5. Maybe I’d rather purchase clothes and shoes. Maybe I’d rather use the money to buy new glasses because my eyesight has gotten blurry! Or maybe, I could invest in a really good vacuum…and just deal with having a little bit of money leftover. Or maybe, just maybe, I purchase this vacuum again. Be happy that I have a working vacuum and possibly be able to afford some of the stuff I mentioned. I think I’ve made my choice. Until it breaks again, I hope I have a good paying job by then and I’ll get that rose gold Shark vacuum that I really wanted.

I'm not happy with this product. I gave long haired dogs, so I have to empty the dust cup frequently and the vacuum does not pick up the dust or hair. The hair gets clogged in the roller.

Pros: Dust cup is easy to empty and you don't have to reach into it. Cord has ample length. Swivel head is easy to maneuver. Seems to have pretty strong suction. Overall it's lightweight and fairly quiet. Cons: No variable suction control, so rugs without a permeable backing will stick to it and require one hand to hold the rug, and also it may be hard to push on some rugs because of this (in this case, less is more in terms of suction). The brush attachment that comes with it is lame. The big disappointment for me is the attachment tube coming out of the vac, which is a proprietary half-circle shape. I have a collection of special attachments that I like to use, and Bissell vacs normally fit the common tube diameter of central vac systems, so it opens up a wide variety of tools that can be used, but not this product. I have a wide horse hair floor brush that I wanted to use in place of the power head, but it won't work on this case. A vacuum is only as good as it attachments!

I’ve had this vacuum for 3 years and it still works soooo good picks up everything in the carpet and floors. Only thing it doesn’t stand on its own so I have to lean it on something. Its a bit heavy but not bad enough that I can’t vacuum my whole house. The attachments are also very helpful and the head really turns to get all the spots on the floor!

I used it a total of maybe 5 times and the side of the brush roll melted and froze up the whole vacuum. Felt cheap also, vacuuming power was great but still required several passes over thick carpet.

I love it and I would've given it 5 stars but it doesn't stand on its own. I understand you HAVE to hang it up but if you rent you may not be able to do that and while you're vacuuming you literally cannot stand it up when you stop. You have to lay it down. Also, having to put the attachments on the "hanger" is very inconvenient. I THINK if this was disclosed better in the description, I may not have purchased it.

I was skeptical about this vacuum. It is thin and lightweight and has a small canister. As soon as I took it out of the box, my husband (easily) put it together and immediately plugged it in to try out on our bedroom carpet. We were both shocked at the amount of power and suction of this slim pet hair eraser corded vacuum. Instantly it was getting ALL of the dog and cat fur off from our floor. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats that let us sleep in their king size bed, so we get quite a bit of pet hair on our carpet and bedding, no matter how often we brush and bathe them. This vacuum was a pleasant surprise! I have purchased larger pet hair eraser vacuums and they didn't do as great of a job as this does! I ended up going through our whole house with this slim vacuum and it's attachments! I even used this on our bed, bedding and furniture. It did an amazing job at getting all of the pet hair picked up! With it being so slim and lightweight, I was able to even use it in my truck! We have been religiously using this vacuum ever since we received it and it is a new favorite! The only negative thing I can say about it is it doesn't stand on its own. It does However come with the hardware to attach to the wall to hang it, but I didn't want to put holes in our walls to hang the vacuum. So it sits in the corner of the broom closet, waiting for the next use. Highly recommend this slim pet hair eraser vacuum!

I love this sweeper. It is perfect for my wood & carpet floors. I don't even mind sweeping. Would recommend.
