A: Good question. This model doesn't have a built in heater. Heatwave Technology helps maintain the water temperature throughout the cleaning process as you loosen and remove tough stains.

A: it is not useful for this... out of a full tank, it sucked up half a quarter back up... it just smelled like wet dog after I was done.

submitted byAskBISSELL - 5 years agoBrand expertA: I don't think so. First it doesn't heat the water despite what it says on the ad. Second, the suction is not that great. You would be better off just spraying the mattress and using a small wet vac with far more suction that you can buy at HD for 21.00. I bought this because i thought it heated the water. It leaves the carpet way to wet and I consider it false advertising to say it heats up. I took it back and got the Bissell Little Green Machine that actually does heat the water for a few dollars more.

Q: I own my own mobile detailing business. Will this machine work for cleaning seats and carpet in vehicles? Also is there a feature to use with or without heat...and can it be used on leather seats?

A: We don't recommend this product for commercial use, but for residential use it does work well for cleaning cloth and carpet in vehicles. It's not recommended for leather.

I chose to ignore the bad reviews and ordered this machine anyway. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND. It leaks like crazy and barely suctions up the water it sprays. Extremely disappointed and will be returning.

Have you ever heard of the phrase, "leaks like a sieve?" Well, this one leaks like a pressurized water valve. Do not recommend. Gave it 2 stars because it does clean, though the suction is weird. But it sprayed out of the bottom when I turned it on and smelled like something was burning for a short time. I ordered the shark. We'll see how that one does!

Super handy device when you have kids and puppies! Does a great job at cleaning messes. I wish the cleaner smelled a little less chemical but I plan on trying the simple line they offer as well. Took away one star because this is our second machine - the hose needs to be a replaceable part since over time it gets brittle and will crack. (Our last one lasted several years before happening but still frustrating to trash a good machine for a hose)
