The picture on the website doesn't even do justice to these covers in person. I purchased both sofa and chair covers. Very sturdy material, the toile print is detailed and gorgeous on the cream color background. I am very pleased with them and considering getting another set in case they ever go out of stock.
I received a black, cottage-style pedestal dining table that seats 6 as a housewarming gift from my parents. I bought 4 black "schoolhouse style" dining chairs to go with it, but still needed end chairs. These slipcovers allowed me to use two of my old, cat-clawed (but otherwise perfectly fine) upholstered parsons chairs - and the final look is simply AMAZING! I was a bit worried that the toile would look frumpy once I saw it in person, but these slipcovers really elevated the look of the entire dining set. You can't see or feel the torn bits of the fabric underneath. My chairs were cream microsuede fabric, so I can't speak to how dark a fabric you can hide, but the fabric seems pretty opaque. As a bonus, my cats have had ZERO desire to claw the fabric, which was a major fear of mine. The slipcovers JUST fit my slightly "roll back" parsons chairs (here's hoping they don't shrink in the wash down the road), so they'll be quite loose on non-upholstered chairs. The only thing that puzzled me at first was that two back edges at seat height jetted out oddly where the skirt met the seat back. I finally realized that those need to be tucked IN and formed the skirt pleats. Hopefully this bit of knowledge helps someone else that wonders if they got a defective slipcover. The reality is just that they were pressed/packed wrong by the manufacturer. These are lovely slipcovers for a reasonable price. I recommend!
This slipcover is very pretty and different than any of the other patterned slipcovers I had been looking at. And I had been looking for LONG time. It doesn't quite fit my couch as the arms of my couch are curled fairly dramatically outward so the slipcover isn't able to reach the floor. I was able to cover the cushions and bottom half of the couch with material that matches the slipcover so am satisfied with the end result. Not sure how it will hold up over time as I've not had a cotton cover before. It washed up well the first time and I removed it from the drier promptly to prevent wrinkles. Overall and happy with the cover for the price paid ($56).
Design is very pretty and the fabric is soft, but it came extremely wrinkled in the package. It is large and awkward shaped, so difficult to get wrinkles out. It also fits a bit awkwardly on my standard sofa...it seems as if perhaps it is a little too long. All in all, it's a good temporary solution, but doesn't fit super snug or look super put together. I also worry it'll be quick to re-wrinkle if it was this wrinkly in the package.
if you like this traditional print then you won't be disappointed. good quality generously sized and adjustable fit at a very reasonable cost. I was going to reupholster my Parsons chairs but tried these instead and am very happy.
