Buy the Blob

Kids had a blast. Great for younger kids. The fact it’s filled with water keeps them from sliding on the hard ground which is nice. After the sun stretches it out a bit in a couple days add more water. Not too large/long for a small backyard either!

Sprinkler Attachment Tore Before Use

The attachment to put your hose in for the sprinkler tore before we even got to use it. The hose attachment was screwed on so tight. My toddler is having fun with our makeshift sprinkler for now before we return it. We might try one more before just not going with a blobster.

Cool but a lot of water for set up alone

It’s huge- it’s fun! However you’re literally filling up a waterbed before the kids can play… it’s taken me an hour so far and it’s not done. I don’t want to kill my grass so I can’t just leave it full for a week so it’s kinda been a waste of my time and water. I think AI centers require less water.. BUT it is pretty awsome once full. I wish just the sides required being filled though.

I had the previous version of this blob and LOVED it. She popped after 2 ish years. This version is not nearly as good and the adapters do not work to fill it. I had to manually fill this blob and it ruined the experience entirely. We made sure we had the attachments it required as well. Still doesn’t work.

Great buy! Other reviews are misleading...

We purchase one of these "water blobs" every year for water fun. There are two filling holes on top and a draining hole underneath. The first one fills the main pillow area with water using a 5/8" hose. Despite other reviews you can definitely insert the hose where it will fill on its own. And yes, it takes a while, but its well worth it. Once full, the second hole links to your hose (you might have to remove an additional attachment) and controls the sprinkler. You do not even need to run the sprinkler, my kids play on this dry and have a ton of fun. They even like to lay on it and read. We leave ours up the whole season, and it holds up very well even in the sun.

A huge hit with the kids

My kids love this!! They played on it for a while! Took off one star because you have to hold the hose while it fills this thing up with water, which takes a while. Other than that, it’s worth it because the kids had so much fun!

Love this blob!

I don’t know why the people in the reviews say they’re manually filling up. My 10 year old hooked up the hose and filled all by himself. My 6 little kids love it. They bounce on it, slide, jump, wrestle. They play outside on it several times a day. They’re super hard on things along with my 2 dogs and when they pop or break we just buy a new one. Totally worth the hours of fun my kids have on it.

Not fucntional

This design was awful. Looks so cute, but ultimately not functional. Your have to fill the entire thing with water for it to be anything but plastic on the ground, but the spout doesn’t connect to your hose so you have to sit there holding it. I gave up after about 20min. Then the spout to squirt water leaks a ton of water out at the connection. If the ground had any slight slant at all, the water pools at the bottom. I would never be able to move it full, so next time I use it I would have to completely fill it again. I’m not picky which is why I got it- but it’s just ultimately a big waste of water.

The only reason this gets a star is because my daughter had fun, but overall this takes that cake for most PITA splash pads weve ever owned. Took a solid 45 minutes to fill the "blob". Took forever to drain. Its heavy. I doubt Macho Man Randy Savage could get this drained in a reasonable amount of time. Spend your money elsewhere.

Would not recommend

The set up was terrible. It took over an hour to fill it up and it hurt my back. I had to hold the water hose the entire time to fill it up. It also took a very long time to drain. I would not recommend buying this.

Set up was a nightmare!!

Stupidest design ever!! The item itself is really cute, but getting it set up was a nightmare. You have to manually the entire thing with water, it took me over an hour of just sitting there holding the hose up to it. 100% returning.

Big enough for my littles to slide on too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are 5.5 and 2 years old. They played with is for about an hour before taking a break. They had fun and it was big enough for them to enjoy. I didn't fill up the water intake portion (perimeter) fully, but I had the sprinklers set up. It kept with enough water around the perimeter to have fun. The main part is that it didn't break. The valve is not in an ideal spot because I can't get the water fully out. I can get it out of the sprinkler area though.
