A: The Caffettiera French Press features a stainless-steel outer frame and Chambord style lid while the Brazil French Press features a lightweight design that uses a single piece base and handle that connects to the lid without needing a full carafe frame. They both include a stainless-steel plunger and filter that is precisely fit into a borosilicate glass carafe.

A: Yes, while we recommend a coarse grind to maximize the flavors for a French press you can use a finer grind, but you should expect a more grinds to make it into your cup, the finer the grind. Enjoy!

A: Both will provide the exact same quality of coffee brew. The only difference is the lid and the top of the plunger are plastic as opposed to the plated stainless steel of the chambord.

A: The carafe and mugs are both dishwasher safe. The lid and handle of the french press are made of plastic. The carafe is made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass. The mugs are made of tempered glass and are microwave and dishwasher safe.

A: This French Press carafe is made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass. The only aspects of the press that are plastic are the handle and lid.

The best part of this set are the mugs! The carge is very fragile. I bought two and both broke, the first when I accidentally hit the faucet and the second after I poured in hot water! Pay more and get a carafe made of better quality glass or stainless.
