Carry Baby with Comfort and Style

3 out of 5 stars

This is a nice quality carrier that allowed me to carry my little one while doing tasks around home and while on the go. The yoga-type fabric was very comfortable and adjustments were easy to make, with enough room for multiple body types to use the carrier. The style and charcoal color was general enough that my husband could use this carrier and feel comfortable. While it was manageable to use this with a toddler, I feel it is better suited to carrying infants and younger babies that aren't quite as heavy. The Boppy ComfyChic Baby Carrier is comfortable, stylish, and would be a great gift to any new parent. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to test and review this product. The crossover of baby carriers

This is the crossover of baby carriers! When I first registered, I opted for both a soft wrap and a traditional structured carrier. For context, I had a preemie and am a petite person so naturally I loved the soft wrap because it was the perfect fit for both of us. I got really got at making the right fit and securing it. When baby was old enough for the structured carrier, I found the transition from soft wrap to structured carrier hard. The structured carrier didn't fit me or baby well and overall was cumbersome even though it did offer better back support as baby got heavier. It became my husband's go-to item instead. Enter this product (which I received as part of a Stellar Product testing panel) and it has the best of both worlds - comfort and support. I would say that you do kind of need to master how to wrap it correctly (again I had the soft wrap from earlier so I was already a pro). The fabric is soft and stretchy but has a more structured butt support for baby which is easier on your back. There is some leather-like trim on there for sturdiness and aesthetic. Now I can carry baby too and wish I had this when I first registered. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Comfortable and stylish!

I loved having the convenience of a buckle carrier and the comfort and flexibility of a wrap carrier all at one time with the Boppy ComfyChic Carrier. My 1 year old loved getting to face out and see what's happening! On top of that, this carrier is much more stylish than others I have used! I loved the look of the leather accents. It was so nice to feel like the carrier complimented an outfit instead of having a childish look to it! I was able to enjoy fall fun outside with my older kids and rake the leaves while wearing my baby. I didn't have to keep track of what she was getting into or stay inside. We both got to be involved and have fun with the rest of the family, thanks to baby wearing! The carrier is super easy to adjust to different people. The waistband can be loosened/tightened and then the wrap straps are adjusted each time you wear it. It was easy to put on and very comfortable to wear! I felt like my baby was well supported. I'm looking forward to continuing to use this carrier! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby carrier to try! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great semi-structured carrier

I love this carrier so much! I have a 9 month old daughter (21 lbs) who really enjoys being in a carrier so I already have 2 carriers (Solly Baby and Lilliebaby Complete) and this is a great hybrid of the two. This Boppy carrier offers more structure than the Solly Baby wrap and a material that is more comfortable/cozy than the Lilliebaby. Though I found it a little difficult to figure out how to put on at first, I got the hang of it pretty quickly after a few uses. The straps are long though, and sometimes touched the ground. It is extremely comfortable for me to use and does not hurt my hips or back. We’ve used it on walks in our neighborhood and at the pumpkin patch and my daughter seems to enjoy it – she looks comfortable and does not get fussy like she now does in the Solly. No sagging! Also, it didn’t seem like it created as much “heat” as the Solly (I wasn’t sweating!). My husband has not used it yet but I don’t think he would have any issues adjusting to his body (I’m 5’3 and pear shaped and he’s 5’11 and skinny). Deducting 1 star because of the learning curve to figuring it out, long straps, and that while it says it fold up small, it is bigger than i would expect. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this carrier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

SO comfy, just not very practical

I use a baby carrier every single day. I have three kids so a carrier really helps me get things done handsfree. I was so excited when I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When is comes to comfort, this carrier gets 5 stars! It is the most comfortable carrier I’ve used, and I have some top name brand ones. Comfort for me and my baby equally. When it comes to practicality, I give it 3 stars. The long pieces of fabric that are used to wrap around you and the baby for added support really get in the way when trying to get it on and off. I live in the PNW, and am often putting this on in a parking lot, and for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out a way for the fabric to not fall to the floor when I’m trying to get baby on or off. And if it’s raining then the fabric is soaked in a puddle. So maybe there’s a better way that I just can’t figure out.. but I found myself reaching for my other carrier use for ease of use. No long awkward pieces of fabric to worry about. So if you have the patience and can maybe figure out a way for the fabric to stay off the ground, then definitely give it a try. It’s so dang comfy. I still use it at home to face my baby out, which my other carriers can’t do. Just takes a little bit more time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

LOVE X3

Love, Love, Love. Did I mention Love? this Boppy ComfyChic Carrier! I recieved this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but honestly can say that this carrier exceeded my expectations. I have more of a "typical" carrier with buckles, etc, and have always thought the wrap carriers looked nice and comfortable, but confusing, so it was fun to try this hybrid out. PROS: Easily stores. The carrier all rolls down into a 12" ball, so it's no problem storing it in the vehicle, closet, etc. There were no straps laying around getting dirty; everything was stored. Loved that. Very comfortable. You can easily transform how the weight is distributed on your hips and shoulders by moving the strechy straps. Made it so nice. Also you can wrap it differently to hold your newborn more secure! Thought that was ingenious. Looks cute. I have the charcoal/black leather detailed carrier, and it just looks nice, so that's a pro in my opinion. Zipper pockets for storing stuff? Heck yeah. And I just shoved my phone within the strechy fabric when I didnt want it in a zippered pocket. CONS: honestly, the only "con" I have is the fact that when you're putting the carrier on, the straps are so long that they have a tendency to touch the ground. But maybe it's my technique that needs to be changed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Good Carrier with a Learning Curve

Overall I liked this carrier. The material feels soft, stretchy and high quality, and it does look pretty stylish. This is the first carrier I've tried that allows for the baby to face outward so that was really nice, and the side/hip carry position was unique. It allowed for me to be able to see what I was doing with my hands better with the baby off to the side, but I don't think it would be very comfortable for extended periods of time. It is really simple and easy to adjust if you would be frequently sharing the carrier with other people. It's kind of neat that this carrier can fold up into its own bag, but honestly I never took the time to figure out how to get it back into that state because it isn't very straightforward without reading the instructions. There were a few downsides to this carrier for me. Being a hybrid, there are long pieces of fabric that you use to wrap the baby in, and I was not ever able to get the carrier on without something touching the ground. Not such a big deal when using the carrier at home, but out and about I don't love that. Especially during the snowy/wet/dirty midwest winters where I live. I shied away from using this carrier out of the house for that reason. It also has a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to wrap. I had to refer to the instructions several times when putting the carrier on, especially after not having used the carrier in a while. I also thought the waist strap was a little on the uncomfortable side for me. There is padding along part of the strap (in the front) but it doesn't go around very far and the strap isn't very tall, so after extended use it sort of started digging into my sides a bit. With all of that being said, I will still get use out of this carrier and will hopefully get a bit more used to wrapping it and it'll become second nature. I was given this carrier to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
