No button to hear your surroundings. Personally I find them uncomfortable and in summer my ears get sweaty. The quality of sound is ok but well... not astonishing.

Volume adjust does not work with Precor treadmill

I bought these headphones because when I go to the gym it is very noisy. I am using the aux cable to connect to a Precor treadmill. When you connect the headphones to the treadmill, you can't adjust the volume using the manual controls on the treadmill or the +/- buttons on the headphones. No one at Bose seems to have a solution to this problem. Very disappointing.

ALL features considered, from battery life to comfort equals a score no other brand has matched. Durability looses a star but they must be slimmer for comfort, no-fatigue wearing. I imagine the build quality would not allow these to break from an accidental fall or sit-on on the couch. Seamless in sound, connection, calls, everything. Stop getting frustrated with anything else, get these headphones.

I originally and still have the first generation NC wired headset. I have the QC35 series one and it performs exactly as the wired set. Great cancellation, superb music tones....wow battery life! Now having added this series II to my collection. Only complaint is that sometimes I feel the max column level should be higher than it is. It’s not a deal breaker, just a tweak would be perfect. Very comfortable, dependable, and excellent performance with all styles of music. Highs to kids to very low lows.....crystal clear. Nothing beats these....not for the last 10 years! Plus....now when the earpiece soft material wears you can order the entire “cushion cup” and just snap them out and in!! Perfect for longevity of this great product. Wired, wireless, now ar........awesome!

My first pair of Bose headphones (Qc25 Quiet Comfort 25) were better in many ways. Even after battery died, they played music (without noise cancellation) and they easily connected to all of my devices. This is a big problem with the 35's. When the battery dies, so does access to music. This is a drag, especially on long flights. More importantly, the quality of the sound was better when all i want to do is cancel sound -- especially outside, here in new york city - - the Quiet Comfort 35 II amplifies truck engines, whereas the 35's are much quieter. What's better about wireless headphones? The long cord was always ripping off the headphones. Honestly, though, if the ear pads had not worn out and if the replacement ear pads had actually fit securely, rather than falling out constantly, I'd still be using them. The most frustrating thing is that i am unable to figure out how to connect them to my macbook pro, since the bose website has no help and no service either.
