I wish this “flannel” was a bit cozier and fuzzier, more like a traditional flannel. Don’t think this will provide much warmth other than being an extra layer. It’s pretty thin. My 9 yo son likes the colors though and says he’ll wear it, even though anything long-sleeved isn’t his favorite. Speaking of sleeves. They’ll need to be rolled up until his arms get a bit longer. He’s tall but slim and this 8/10 was a bit big for him, especially in the sleeves.

This is a great long sleeve button down shirt. It’s nice and soft and very comfortable. It it true to size and seems to be very durable and very good quality. It fits my son well and he likes the colors and the style.

The material is really nice without being too thick. I would say that it has the weight of a camp shirt more than the weight of a fannel. I would have preferred it to be shorter length as it fits pretty good in the waist but seems a little long or bulky in the length
