Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Great hoodie for the price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really happy with this hoodie. It’s soft, comfortable, and the fit is nice and relaxed without looking too oversized. The material feels good quality and it’s perfect for everyday wear or school. The gray color is exactly what I was looking for and it goes with pretty much everything. Definitely a great basic hoodie to have!

Cozy, cute and durable hoodie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although the the trendy relaxed fit and dropped shoulders are new, the fabric seems to be the same durable fleece my family loves from Target's hoodies year after year. My son wears size 10 (44", 77 lbs) and this is a 10/12 and definitely too big for him this year, skeeves are way too long, but it should be a good fit in another year. He does wear many other 10/12 hoodies now so these run a little big. He loves the rich olive green color!

Really nice zip-up hoodie!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really liked this zip up hoodie for my son. There are only certain colors of jackets that he can wear to his school and this one is nice to have for when he goes out for recess this fall. The fleece material was really comfortable. It is easy for him to throw on over another shirt and it doesn’t feel too tight. He is typically a size small, but I did feel like this ran a little big on him especially in the arms. However, we are still satisfied with the overall product.
