Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Oversized comfortable boys tee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This boys short sleeve 100 percent cotton gamer oversized graphic t-shirt. This is a soft and comfortable all cotton t-shirt. I got this in a size S (6-7), my guy currently wears a size 6 or S and this fit great. It is oversized so he has plenty of room to grow. The color is an off white so it will match basically all of his shorts and pants.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tee shirt, especially for when the fall and winter. It is a bit on the thicker side, so it might be a bit hot for summer. For reference, my son is a size large. I ordered a size large and it definitely fits oversized. If you’re between sizes and want a more fitted look, size down. However, if you purchase the size your little one is, you’ll definitely get more use out of it.

Oversized gamer shirt for boys

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This short sleeve cotton T-shirt is made with a very high-quality soft and lightweight fabric. It is a gamer style shirt, which my young son loves. It is already an oversized fit, which he also really likes. My son typically wears a size 10 to a 12. We purchased this in a size large husky as he is a little on the thicker side and it fit perfectly.
