Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

Q: Where is the size 10 option? SIze M is an 8 and Size L is a 12/14 -- one is way too small and the other way too big bc there is a significant jump between the M and L.

Q: What size would fit a 61 inches tall, lanky build in his early teen years(14-16)? According to the size chart my age, height, weight, and chest is somewhere along size L(large), but my hips and waist are one size skinnier.

Super bummed. I've been buying these for my son for years. They are his favorite and only ones that have fit him well. But they have changed the sizing. It's now an 8 and 10/12 instead of an 8/10. The L (10/12) is the same length as the old M (8/10) but a wider waist. Do not fit at all, proportions are all off. Super disappointed in Target.

My son loves the comfort of these pants. In store a size 8 is a medium so I assume the next size up would be a large or 10/12. Since they didn't have a large in store I ordered them online and they came as a 12/14. When I return them to my local store I checked to see if they had the size I needed and a large in store is a 10/12. The sizing seems a bit off online versus in store.
