Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

I got exactly what I paid it definitely worth it I brought it oct 15,2026 and my son is tall so the xl was the perfect fit and it actually comes down to his wrist and it’s the perfect length from front to back oh I purchased the black he needed for school but the jacket is versatile you can dress up or down my son was pleased with it sorry I didn’t load a picture do to him already off to school

Comfortable and looks great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pullover is great. The color is a nice solid blue that goes with any outfit. I ordered up a size in the medium or 8 for my seven year old who is currently mostly wearing a size small 6/7. It is slightly large which is to be expected. I like the looser fit for layering and also to allow room to grow into. It's great quality

Excellent boys athletic 1/2 zip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This boys 1/2 zip is so nice. It’s got such a nice feel to it and my child has it in several colors now as it’s comfortable and cool. I think it’s so well made and the size small fits my child whom is typical build and 7 years old. This still has decent room in it for him to grow! It’s such a sleek color too!

Boys Spacer 1/2 Zip Up Sweatshirt

The sweatshirt fits true to size and it is perfect for easily and comfortably fitting another shirt underneath it. This sweatshirt is perfect for chilly mornings and then having the ability to take it off once they arrive at school. The quality is incredible.

Buttery Soft Quarter Zip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This quarter zip sweatshirt is buttery soft as the influencers say. It’s that scuba material that FEELS great… the problem is when a five year old wears it that plays HARD at school and recess and wears a backpack daily, this material pulls very very easily. My son is 46” and wearing a medium. I sized up but should have done his true to size small.

Smooth, soft non-fleece fabric!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves the smooth, soft, thick but non-fleece spacer fabric as he overheats in school in fleece in the winter but needs something thick enough to deal with the cold outdoor temperatures. He chose navy blue and it's a nice soft dark blue. He is a size 6 in other clothes (46", 42 lbs) and this is size 6/7 and way too big on him, I think Target sizing may run a little bigger and he might still fit their size 5. The fabric is his favorite!
