Braun Series 8-8457cc Men's Electric Foil Shaver with Precision Beard Trimmer & Clean & Charge SmartCare Center

Target charged me 20.00 more than what was stated online. I was overcharged.

I've been a long-time Braun user; I've had the series 7 and 9 (and actually didn't like the 9 as much, b/c the shaver head is much larger and the clean/renew refill runs out 3 x faster with the 9). Very happy with the shave quality of this 8-series; the shave head is the same size as the 7, but the shave is definitely closer. The clean/renew station does incorporate a fan like the 9, so I'm hoping it doesn't dry the refill out as quickly as the 9 did (the old series 7 used to last about 3-4 times as long as the 9 before it needed a refill), but other than that, very happy with the Series 8.

Braun shavers are well made and work really well. They have some pictorial symbols that make no sense on the cleaner thing but I will figure it out

The first thing I want to mention is the Li-Ion battery which lasts about 60 minutes and also you have an emergency five min quick charge option that will give you enough juice for one shave. The back of the razor is rubberized, so it won’t slip from your hands that easily. On the back of the razor you have a precision trimmer for trimming long hairs that will come out with a simple push of release button. It has an amazing display that shows things like travel lock indicator, cleaning station indicator, low charge/cordless use indicator and the best nine minutes battery left indicator. The razor is 100% waterproof, so you can use it even when you take a shower with no worries. The floating blades help shave tricky areas of your face. It also has the option to lock the shaver head when you need more control over the process. It is also great that it comes with a hard rock traveling case, so you can take the razor anywhere with you without worrying about damage.

In cleaning it, it was simple and very quick. Though it isn’t the closest shave I have ever had, it was one of the fastest shaves I have ever had. My husband tested it by shaving once a day for 2 weeks and he liked it. It charged fast, and the razor is easy to hold. He liked the look of it, the silver metallic feeling, and everything. The blade worked well and shaved clean. Only complaint is that sometimes it wasn't "precisely" close to the face, so it did leave out some spots, very small spots tho. Otherwise, it's an excellent shaver.

I have super thick, coarse hair on my beard and your traditional razor doesn’t do it for me. This shaver gets extremely close and doesn’t make my skin irritated. Highly recommend.

I definitely needed less passes over a specific area to get rid of all my facial hair than I have needed with other razors and it has a good batter life. Clean up was also easier of the razor itself than some electric razors I've had in the past. My only concern with this razor is that while I'm shaving I would get hair clippings that would fall over my hand and arm. Although this is true for all razors, I feel like it didn't capture shavings as well as other razors I've had before. Overall It was a quick and effective razor.
