I adored this book! I bought it for myself when we had our third baby, who is much (gulp) younger than her older siblings. With a new baby and two older kids, I appreciated that this book was written in easy-to-digest chapters and sections. It made it fun AND EASY to read, and I could absorb snippets between naps/demands for food. It's also got a lot of humor, so it doesn't feel "dry" like some parenting books. Bookmonsters has great advice for helping kids love books and learn to read, why reading at a young age is important, and even suggestions for books for your kiddos to read. I totally winged it with my older kids, so it was good for me to read this now, seeing a few things I could do differently with the baby. I've bought a couple of these baby-shower gifts, too. It goes really well with a few board books...books for baby and books for the parents! No lie, my older kids saw this and now proclaim themselves "Bookmonsters" when I tell them it's time to stop reading.
