about this item

Keep tap water healthier and tasting better longer with Brita Longlast Pitcher Replacement Filters. Made with pleated filter technology for 3X longer life compared to 40 gallon filters. Longlast replacement filters reduce lead, asbestos, and cadmium impurities that can adversely affect your health over time (substances reduced may not be in all users' water). Change the Longlast filters every 120 gallons, about every 6 months for the average family, for best performance. The pull top cap on these filters makes insertion and removal easy. With activated carbon to reduce chlorine taste and odor, these filters deliver great-tasting water and maintain a healthy level of fluoride, an additive in water (applies to fluoridated municipal tap water). The fibrous matrix in the filter holds active ingredients in place so no black flecks appear in your water. One LongLast Filter can replace 900 standard 16.9 ounce water bottles.

Usage Directions: Change your filter with just a few simple steps. Wash your hands before unwrapping the filter. Insert filter into reservoir. Add cold tap water. Discard your first 3 pitchers of filter water, or use this water for plants. Fill up your pitcher and enjoy great-tasting water. Replace the water filter every 120 gallons (about 6 months for the average household). Substances reduced may not be in all users' water.

I was excited to purchase the Longlast filter, as we've been a Brita customer for 15 years. However, this filter takes hours to work. Why do they take so long? I have look at advice on how to make them work by squeezing them and nothing has worked. We were incredibly disappointed.see moreof the reviewer's review

I was excited to see a longer lasting filter, but am extremely disappointed in this filter. It only work door about two weeks and the slowed to a single drip. It takes an hour to fill the pitcher. We tried the suggestions we read in these reviews and the filter function did not improve. I won’t buy ...see moreof the reviewer's review

We are a family of 4 and waiting around for a small glass of water isn't practical. It seems like this filter lasts longer because it doesn't filter as much water. So disappoi...see moreof the reviewer's review

A filet that doesn't filter

O.k. now, I have been using Brita for well over 10 years now. After using it on poor quality water, and figuring out that it doesn't work that well, I tried Zero Water. They are way over priced, and don't last long at all. So, I went back to Brita, and tried out this "longlast" filter. When I tested...see moreof the reviewer's review
