Great machine and meets nearly all my needs in a machine! I love all the decorative and functional stitches. It's easy to operate and functional enough for both new and experienced sewers. My only issue with the machine is that it can't handle denim and heavier threads very well. Other than that, it has been a great machine.

Good machine has taken a minute to get use to it, like everything else instructions are diagrams which are at times hard to follow.

I love this machine! As a person who is relatively new to sewing (had some small project lessons as a kid), this has been incredibly user-friendly. It's taking my learner abuse and still ticking. Love that it's light enough to move around the house, as I have limited space, and the built in handle area makes that even easier! Bobbins have been super easy to wind and change out, and threading takes me no time at all. Would definitely recommend for beginner/intermediate level sewing. Buttonholes were a breeze with the foot and setting features!

I sew as a hobby, and have used this new machine now for about 50 hours of sewing, all of which required use of various stitches, both decorative and utility (but no embroidery), on small craft items such as doll clothes. I had been using a much older machine before, and had certain usage habits that wouldn't work on this new machine, but I found that as i became more familiar with the various feet(J,G,N), spool caps, needle sizes and types, thread tensions, bobbin winding specifics,as well as read and followed the manual usage guide closely for best results, that this made sewing narrow seams and very thin and fragile materials as well as thicker than average fabrics such as velvet easier and neater. So i am very safisfied now with the results in making a more professional-like result with a wider variety of fabric.
Happy with the machine but!

The machine is great for the price. Easy to use after you read the instruction book carefully. The plastic spool pin and its placement is troubling. It needs to be handled with care. I feel any rough handling would cause it to break.

I was looking for a replacement machine, but got so much more! This machine is a joy to use. I haven't used all the stitches yet, I'm trying out something new all the time. Very user friendly.

Brother Customer Service cannot be beat! I had a problem stemming from 2 year ago when I had a heart attack. Was unable to just recently contact Brother and leave a comment! A very nice lady called me from Brother and happily discussed my issue and resolved to perfection. I will never buy other than Brother. One day may be able to buy the quilting one ..but even if I can't this one suits me perfect and I so appreciate my experience with them. I have an old one I've had for 25+ years and it still works never have I had a problem. This one in sure will be equally as good. It does a lot more and I'm excited to use it. Thank you Brother you are exceptional!
Sewing is fun and easy with my Brother.

I needed a new sewing machine and wanted a slight upgrade from my original basic Brother sewing machine, which was over 25 years old. This machine has more stitches and capabilities, but not complicated to use. Feeding the bobbin and loading the bobbin is simple, as is threading the machine. This machine is good for those with all sewing levels.

I love the machine but the double stitch on 00 and 01 became a single row of stitching after just one week. Not a big deal but I worry about the more intricate ones.

I love this machine. The only thing missing is an automatic thread cutter. The quality is great. I’ve made many projects so far this year and have had no issues. Everything is easy to see use and understand. It is a beautiful and well functioning machine. I will only use brother.

I am a beginner at sewing and this is my first machine. It’s very easy to use and nice and quiet! It has more stitch options than I will probably ever use which is nice that it’s not a basic machine. The on-line YouTube video on how to use it is fantastic!!
