I am a novice sewer- Big on crafting, but just learning to use an actual sewing machine. It is very easy to use, and the instruction manual is worth its weight in gold! I've used it for several big projects now and absolutely love my machine.  see moreof Mistissippi's review

I bought this machine to learn to sew on. Im teaching myself. The only experience I have is 8th grade home economics...and I couldn't thread a machine then. I did figure out how to thread a bobbin and this machine by reading the manual. It took some time, but no more than it took to learn how to use ...  see moreof JMS1977's review

Love this sewing machine! It has been a couple of years since I've done any quantity of sewing so I was very excited when I was offered this machine for free in exchange for an honest review of the product. The machine is very quiet compared to machines I have used in the past which was a nice surpr...  see moreof Elizabeth S's review

What a great little machine! I have a 15 year old computerized Viking that I'm still very happy with but is quite heavy. Since I want to travel with my machine and I can't lift much weight I needed one that was light. I considered a non-computerized Brother model for about $70 that was only 5lbs but...  see moreof VGGA's review

The last machine I bought...1984. Things have changed; some good some not so good. Good-needle threader, cutter and variety of stitches. Not good - speed funtion without presser foot, bobbin jams. The embroidery part is good but limited. This is my first embroidery machine and I've almost outg...  see moreof TMac's review

For the price, this machine was a great deal. It gave me a very reasonably priced introduction to machine embroidery. Now I can determine if I want to make a larger investment later in an embroidery machine upgrade. While the embroideries done on the SE400 are only 4x4 inches, they can still be a...  see moreof Germa's review

I bought this machine because I wanted something small and portable to take in our travel trailer so I could work on quilt tops. I decided on this model so I would also have the opportunity to try machine embroidery which I had an interest in but thought I would have to spend lots more on. I own a m...  see moreof Catking's review
