Iv never bought an eye cream before. Being 30 I just didn't want to think I needed it. But I love Burts in everything else so I purchased this eye cream a week ago. First day of applying it my eyes felt itchy. After trying to sooth it they began to swell and finally hives and a rash broke out around my eyes down my cheeks and forehead. I washed my face and after a day my face went back to normal. I was sad. I like Burts bees. Never had issue before. Unfortunately I can't with this eye cream.

I am a huge Burt’s Bees and have been using multiple products for years. I typically use the sensitive eye cream but decided to try this in hopes of minimizing dark circles and fine lines. The morning after applying this the night before, I woke up to red, swollen eyes. I honestly didn’t associate it with the cream until I used it a few days. Once I discontinued it the redness and irritation stopped. Super disappointed because I loved how moisturizing this is, but will not jeopardize my eyes for anything.

Burt's Bees used to make an eye cream that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, they don't make it anymore. There is something in all of their current eye creams that my eyes just don't like. This stuff made them watery, irritated, and kind of gooey. It was almost like having pink eye minus the color. The day after I stopped using the eye cream, everything went away and my eyes were back to normal. The same thing happened when I tried the calming eye cream. Don't know what ingredient it is, by my eyes don't like it at all.

I was looking for something to help with some fine lines that were beginning to show up and bags and circles in the AM. I've liked the bakuchiol oil as a retinol alternative in other serums I've used and knew it would be gentle around my sensitive eyes. I apply this AM and PM as a last step before moisturizer. I can definitely tell a difference after about a month of regular use. Skin is firmer and has more even tone with less puffiness and discoloration under my eyes. This stuff is a deal and I will continue to use it. I have not noticed any sort of issues with the sent or consistency. It's a little thinner so I dispense one small dot from the pumptop container onto the tip of my ring finger, then rub a little bit onto the tip of the opposite ring finger, then starting under my eyes, rub in gentle circles around the orbital bone, with a little extra attention to the corners of my eyes.

I used it all around my eyes every night for two weeks and could see a slight difference in the color/bags around my eyes after that time. The formula was very light and gentle, but honestly, I think the night cream did more of the same for my whole face. If I had to purchase one I would choose the night cream.
