I had high hopes for this, but it just didn’t work for me. It has no slip and it just sits on top of my head. It’s a very thick consistency. I have to try really hard to actually work it in. Because of that I feel like I’m over manipulating my hair just to work it through. My hair is low porosity so maybe this would work better for high porosity hair. Once I worked it through it did make my hair feel a bit softer. It also smells amazing! It’s a delicious vanilla cake batter scent. That alone almost made me want to keep it, but ultimately I returned it. It didn’t give the amount of moisture I really needed.

I have 3c curls and have tried all the curly products on the market and haven’t found anything that works like the Camille Rose range. It’s the best. Leaves your hair soft with defined curls. Really are the only products I have found that works the way you want them too.

I bought this on a whim because I love trying new products in my hair. For reference, I have low porosity 2c waves to 3A curls. I know this brand is directed more towards gorgeous type 4 hair but this actually worked wonders on my looser curl type and left me with bouncy, soft and shiny waves/curls!! If you struggle with dry hair and want something that isn’t gonna weigh your hair down, run, don’t walk to buy this!

I have been using this in my toddlers hair since he was one. I love this product! Due to him having the same hair texture as me (4C low porosity) we both can use it. It keeps his twists very moisturized and healthy. My only dislike it that I can’t add it to my target pick up orders at my local Target. I have to physically go in and purchase.

I love all the Camille Rose products & hope that Boots continue to stock them, because seeing them available in the store has been a dream come true! This fresh curl product is the best of them all! It is so moisturising! I use it both as a leave in & also a hair moisturiser and refresher. I have 4a curls & recently it was feeling very dry, but after using this product it has made a huge difference! My hair now feels very soft & silky. Not many people realise how versatile this product is, but please buy it, you will not be dissappointed!

Having used at least 3 Camille Rise produects within the last year I've got to say this is pretty good. My only mistake was not using it sooner. I think if you are a 4c girl, as am I you'll find this works a treat. I first used a little of this 2 days ago and it penetrates the hair right down to the root. Hair feels so smooth and curl definition happens straight away. My hair got a little dry recently with the other products I was using as they both have alcohol in them and 4c hair does NOT do well with alcohol. But this stuff has balanced that and will probably keep me going for the next two days. Cheers Camille Rose. Love love love and HIGHLY recommend to ALL textures. All us curly girls can benefit ❤

This is a really great product. I went natural about a year and a half ago and am always on the hunt for hair care products that work well on my hair. I have very thick hair with tight curls. This product adds moisture and defines my curls very nicely. I really like that you can use it on when your hair is wet or dry. It’s very easy to use, just pump some of the curl cream on your hair and work it through your hair, work it through the tips and edges and style as usual. I use a wide tooth comb to lift out curls and a brush for my edges. I hate when products give you a huge instruction list of how to use or tell you it has to be used in combination with another product. The use for this product is very simple and straight forward. It works well alone. Although sometimes I add a separate edge control. The bottle says it has a peach quava scent but I don’t smell peach or guava. It’s a sweet smell, more like a sugar scrub. I wish it smelled more like peach or guava but I still really love this product. I also love their aloe whipped butter gel. I typically use that after I wash while it’s still wet.

Nice definition, but not enough moisture

The Fresh Curl Revitalizing Hair Smoother was OK on my hair and gave it nice curl definition, but left it feeling a bit dry. I have a mix of 4B/C low-porosity hair. My hair usually responds well to castor oil and gets very soft; perhaps there isn't much in this product.

I love this stuff! I use it to refresh my wash n go, or as a moisturizer before bed. It’s light yet it’s moisturizing. I wouldn’t use it as a leave in.

My hair is the worst- coarse, hates coconut, protein makes it dry, frizzy etc.. I’ve recently gone silicone free and had been trying to find an actually moisturising leave-in that suits my hair type and I used this for the first time today and it’s made my hair feel fabulous! I definitely used too much and made my hair feel a bit heavy and oily but I’m so used to using 4-5 leave in products that using this by itself and being frizz free has blown me away. Smells nostalgic and creates fab slip. I wouldn’t use it on dry hair though because it makes hair too sticky but other than that no faults!

Not a big fan, this product smells okay. But doesn’t hold moisture. It’s not a thick pasty cream like the Shea Moisture. I have used it on my child’s hair and mine not what you would expect for the price.

Zero slip, I have low porosity hair and this actually made my hair feel rough. It feels light in texture but it didn’t soak into my hair at all. Too expensive. Will return.

I started using this when I first decided to wear my curls (Mostly 3C, some 3B and some 4A parts). I finished at least 4 bottles of this between 2018-early 2019. I tried other products out of curiosity, but came back to this one recently. I don’t know what happened! It doesn’t have any slip now, nor does it moisturize my curls, let alone define them. Maybe I got a bad bottle, but at $15 I’m never buying it again to find out.

My hair is low porosity and low density meaning it doesn't absorb water or moisture that well and it will just sit on top of my strands until the cuticle is opened up with heat. This product is not for people with my hair even though it says that it's "a light gel cream styling lotion" on the bottle. It weighed down my hair and my hair still felt un-moisturized and frizzy.
