I have spent an entire year with this camera so far, and it has provided great results, given I do have to work around its limitations. If not for Adobe photoshop or lightroom, I likely would not have bought this camera. Many say that you should always take photographs without the mindset that you will be editing it later, but this camera alone is not satisfactory for my creative ideas, so the adobe programs assist there. This model is the type of camera that a beginner should use if they are unsure about getting into the hobby of photography. This camera is not for a person that is aiming to take a variety of unique, professional, polished photographs. Night photography is often difficult because of the poor dynamic range, and the camera's sensor won't produce those sharp, clean photos that you would see from an 80D for example. When taking photos with this camera, you will often get "noise" (sometimes its unoticeable, other times its significant) if you're not situated in a near-perfect environment. One other thing to mention, is that people who want to shoot from a floor-level angle, will have a hard time with this camera since the display does not fold out. If you are someone looking for a camera to start off with, and are planning to produce those cool, or keen and cutting photos right off the bat (eg. night time long-exposures) then this camera is not a good choice for you. If my description fits your situation, save up more money and pay for something better like a Rebel 7Ti. Meanwhile, if you are someone who just wants to dip their feet in lightly into photography, then this camera is a good choice. The Rebel T6 is a cheap, but still manageable option for you. I did include some photos with this review to show how the Rebel T6's photos looked with a generous amount of editing. I showed the pictures before and after editing.

Happy overall, lens broke after 18 months

Overall I am happy with the camera, but the motor in the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5?5.6 IS II lens went bad after 18 months, and it’s cheaper to buy a new lens than repair it.

I bought this less than a year ago, and love it. Great features, and great for those graduating from point and shoot to dslr camera, especially for those on a budget.

Simply Perfect

I wanted a dslr camera to take with me on adventures. I did a lot of research looking for the best. This camera is perfect! The features are great, it’s easy to understand, and in a pinch, there is a Q button explaining features if you don’t understand or forget. Also, being able to connect to my phone wirelessly and send over pictures is just about the best thing since sliced bread! After watching a couple of YouTube videos and the help of the Q button, I have even moved from auto setting to manual setting. After having this camera for about a month, I can honestly say it was one of my best purchases I’ve made. 10/10 would recommend.

Not worth the buy

I bought this a little over a week ago. I opened it up and started to read the manual to get a sense of how to use it. The first time I tried to charge the battery it did not work, the charger doesn't even show signs of working--no flashing light or light activity of any kind and the battery does not work even after being "charged". The camera says "replace battery pack" when turned on.. I now have to buy a new battery and charger when I JUST bought the camera. Would not recommend this product.

Really haven't got to use it much because I just received it. What I have done with it so far has been great. This is my first "real" camera and I'm very excited to learn more of its features.

I bought this camera about a month ago and am already in love. I got the 18-55mm and 75-300mm lenses and they work phenomenal. Throw some of the pics into Lightroom and click auto and instantly you have some amazing pictures.
