The PowerShot ELPH 190 IS, is a pocketsize point and shooter that delivers 20MP resolution with surprising results. Prior to my purchase, I spent a few days in Digital Photography research and realized the 190 IS was more than enough for my project. The 190 IS delivered with features typically packed into a substantially more sophisticated camera. Features such as Wi-Fi and NFC, that make this little mighty mite a snap to transfer pictures to my Note 8 through the Canon Connect App. As days go by with this 190 IS, I experiment more and more with the “Program” functions etc. With that in mind, I have no doubt the 190 IS has reinvigorated my appetite for a much more robust DSLR or Mirrorless down the road.

Awful camera that takes out of focus pictures

I bought this camera so that I'd have something to take good pictures without needing to use my phone. No matter what I do, this camera takes out of focus pictures most of the time. Rarely do I get a good picture from this camera. It's so frustrating. I press half way down and the camera says everything I need to be in focus IS in focus but then when I look at the picture later they're all out of focus. I'd never buy this camera again and I don't even know how they can sell such a bad camera to the public.

I own an EOS system but needed a small camerawomen with high quality capacity. So I drive a luxury model but needed a great utility model. Well the picture quality is was I expected. Not a fancy as the EOS but has the quality I need. Clarity on enlargements is important. With 20 MP I get that.
