Whether you're sauteing or searing, a Ceramic-Coated Aluminum Skillet from Made By Design™ is up for the job. This handy frying pan lets you transition from stove to oven and back again with ease and is great for cooking all kinds of foods. And best of all, the nonstick glazed aluminum design resists corrosion and wear from induction heating, letting you use it to prepare all your favorite meals again and again.
Bought this for my daughter so she has something to practice with as she is learning to cook. She has had no problems wiith this pan and it has helped build her confidence in the kitchen. It's non-stick, lightweight, and easy to clean. For the price, I highly recommend.
So disappointed with this pan. I have used it five times, making breakfast (eggs and bacon) and some pot stickers. It worked great for the first three times, and then things started to stick and the inside started to turn brown. Had a hard time washing the grease and burnt marks off.
As others have said, this pan failed in a big way. I have an induction stovetop, and about one year into use I set this pan onto medium heat setting. The pan flew across the surface and made loud noises as the induction metal plate on the bottom of the pan physically SEPARATED from the pan itself and the pan buckled in the middle, with hot oil inside. I have never experienced this with a pan before. Recall it.
Just like the other person said it. The second time I used the pan, It bowed up in the middle due to high heat making the nonstick surface useless when doing pancake and eggs. It kind of shrunk back but not complete flat. I have it picture of it. I have a feeling it well get worse if I try to cook on high heat again. It could also be the burner heat coil that it is sitting on. I was using it on an electric stove. The only reason I am giving it two stars is the design and nothing else. The bottom of the pan should have been thicker. Did they not test their product on variety of stove/range? I love the look of the pan but it was such a let down.
I have tried another type of ceramic pan and do not like it nearly as much as this one. As long as there is butter or oil in the pan, nothing sticks to it. It cooks evenly. The handle stays cool. I'm ordering the larger size this evening.
