I could care less about the lamp base; I bought this adorable lamp purely for the gingham pleated shade. It is the perfect neutral accent for my daughter’s nursery, and I found it to be good quality. The lamp is on the smaller side so while $50 may seem high, compare a printed/pleated shade like this to the cost at other retailers and you’ll see it’s a steal. Please Target keep making lamp shades like this!

I won’t argue this is a very cute lamp but I have to take off 2.5 stars for one small but very important thing that I have come to love about studio McGee lamps… THE DIMMER SWITCH. I love a warm beautiful light and all my other lamps from previous collections have them.
