[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who has a sensitive scalp and is prone to dryness, Cera Ve Gentle Hydrating Shampoo has been a perfect match for my needs! It has a thick and creamy consistency, that feels soft and truly gentle on the scalp. It lathers well and gives a nice shine and clean feeling to my hair! It’s perfect for its price point and really has helped to maintain a healthy scalp barrier! I would recommend to anyone looking for a gentle product, I even use it on my toddler! The only thing to note is that it’s unscented but this is better for my scalp overall, and I just add a hair serum after use!

Great moisture for fine hair
This is my new favorite shampoo. I have tried several shampoos to help with my dry scalp. This is the one shampoo that helped to moisturize my scalp without weighing down my hair or feeling greasy. It creates a nice lather and rinses out nicely. It's the perfect pick for fine hair that needs moisture. The bottle also lasts a long time. I have long hair and this bottle lasted 3 months of every-other-day use.

Great everyday softening shampoo
I bought this with my own money. This is a great everyday shampoo. It has silicones that my hair likes and does a great job of cleaning. My hair feels softer and more manageable after. It has no fragrance.

I have been using his shampoo for a few weeks and it has really helped with my dry winter scalp. My scalp feels more hydrated and comfortable, and my hair looks softer and has . I also love that it's affordable and works just as well as more expensive brands. Definitely a great option if you struggle dryness

GREASY, Oily oily.. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I had to immediately get a new shampoo for sensitive skin and allergy friendly. Cerave is letting me down with their products lately, growing controversy.. this product specifically I can't even go the full day after washing my hair is just full of grease and I need to wash again. YUCK

My mom has been using the CeraVe Gentle Hydrating Shampoo consistently, and I've genuinely noticed how her hair looks healthier, softer, and more hydrated the more she uses it. The lather feels gentle and comforting (not stripping), and her hair feels smoother and more manageable after each wash. Format & Presentation: The shampoo has a nice, easy-to-use texture and spreads well through the hair. My hair is wavy most days, it’s pretty unruly and tends to frizz, poof and tangle. I have a hard time finding moisturizing products that aren’t super heavy. This shampoo and conditioner combo has been wonderful! It’s more moisturizing than the others I’ve tried, which has been just about all of them at every price point. Yet at the same time there’s no weigh down or buildup. My wave/loose curl pattern is more defined but even more impressive is my ends are no longer looking parched. I appreciate that it’s not scented, sulfate free as well as free of some common irritants.

LOVE IT!!! Very hopeful
I have only used it for the first time this morning and so far I love it!!!! My hair came out beautiful and my scalp feels clean and non-irritated. I am hopeful but it is too early to know. I will repost ONLY if I change my rating but otherwise as of right now 5 stars!

Extreme irritation, hair loss
Extremely harsh and irritating to my scalp, lost an unusual amount of hair every time I used it. Very disappointed as I have been looking for a fragrance free hair set and Cerave lotions are my holy grail

Hair loss
Switched to CeraVe a month ago.Harifall has increased.Hair thinning.Keeps scalp clean for max 2 days but hair looks oily.3rd day it becomes itchy and too oily.Hairfall with each wash.I don’t recommend using this shampoo based on my experience.

NOT safe for color treated hair!!
Beware: this stripped all my permanent color out! Even though it says it is “color safe” it is not. I will say that it leaves hair very soft and nice but it is NOT to be used on color treated hair!
