Not grease. Absorbs well enough. Mineral sunscreens don't completely absorb because it's mineral based. This one absorbs better than most, but stays. Others melt with sweat. This one does melt off if swimming. For swimming and a lot of sweat, I use Neutrogena zinc. Neutrogena absorbs less but the purpose is different. Bot are awesome. The fragrance for CeraVe mineral is not offensive at all. Recommendation: apply before putting shirt off. Let it dry.

I’m a neutral skin color with a yellow undertone. This product blends perfectly with my skin. It’s moisturizing and protects my melasma (which I’m working on diminishing) well from the sun. One star taken away because the sunscreen leaves a gritty weird feeling on my hands I just have to wipe off, and because it’s a little greasy going on (but dries nicely). Worth trying given its price range and Cere ave’s general reputation!

I purchased this CeraVe Mineral Sunscreen for my college student. However, when he opened the box it wasn’t a CeraVe product inside, it was Neutrogena (we purposely avoid any Neutrogena sunscreens.) Since my son doesn’t have a car, he has no way of returning it so I’m out $13.99. I would really appreciate a refund but there is no way to do an online refund for an in-store product.

It actually helped my skin a lot in terms of breakouts, I realized the sun was probably causing a lot of my skin issues. But the white cast is awful, it’s so hard to blend in, I tried about every trick in the book to get rid of it but it just did not fade. Many times had I been told I looked like a ghost, and a lot of people told me they thought I was wearing foundation that was a little too light for me. Not only that but the collar of my polo shirts got stained white from it. if you have sensitivity issues the feel of it might not be the best, you can feel the sunscreen on your skin and it gets a bit uncomfortable.

I HATE this sunscreen! DO NOT GET IT! I'm serious cause it leaves a non-absorbing white cast that you can't blend in no matter how hard you try. It was horrible and I returned it of course. I love their products meaning the brand ( that I've tried besides this obviously) but this has got to be fixed or needs to be off the shelves.

Hello BeautyDiva11! CeraVe Hydrating Sunscreen is a 100% mineral filter sunscreen. Mineral sunscreens utilize titanium and/or zinc oxide particles to form a barrier that reflects the sun's rays away from the skin. Because the ingredients stay on the surface of your skin, a white cast can sometimes remain after applying the product. We suggest applying a small amount in the palm of your hands and rubbing them together. Then, apply to one small area at a time, rubbing well. The formula should apply easily leaving a lightweight, non-greasy feel. Keep in mind, all sunscreens should be applied liberally for sun protection.

I generally like the transparency of CeraVe products but the sunscreen market has gotten exponentially better the last few years and this is just not a top tier option. While effective, it's thick and greasy with significant white cast.

Follow these tips to apply your mineral sunscreen: Dispense a small amount to one palm and rub your hands together. Apply to one area of the body at a time and thoroughly massage into the skin. Smells awful, like jetfuel and does not blend in. Only have used this a handful of times and I'm going to have to throw it away. So disappointed.

This had the strongest white cast on me and I’m very pale. I couldn’t believe the white cast.
