I’ve been using this face wash for almost 3 years now. I bought a new bottle about a month and a half ago when I was running low. Right about the time I started to use the new bottle I mysteriously started getting styes on my eyes. This went on for about 4 weeks. I went to 2 different doctors trying to figure out how I could get 8 styes in a 4 week period. On the 5th week I traveled for work and didn’t take the bottle - no styes. The first day I return and used this stuff a stye popped up the next day. I haven’t used it in almost a week and again no styes. I was reading some reviews that said there was a new formula. So disappointed as this was my go to for so long.

Would be a good face wash (pretty standard non-soapy moisturizing wash) except that, like another reviewer, I am on tretinoin and for some reason this face wash burns so bad!!! The CeraVe benzoyl peroxide wash doesn’t burn so idk why this one does. Definitely find something else if you’re using stronger topical acne products.

I use tretinoin daily and normally use either a niacinamide or benzoyl peroxide cleanser along with it. I decided to give this cleanser a try once since my skin happened to be particularly sensitive on that day. It burned SO MUCH when I put it on my skin, omg. I just don’t understand how this product could be more irritating to my skin than niacinamide and benzoyl peroxide, both of which are ingredients known to sting. I definitely don’t recommend this product for anyone with sensitive or irritable skin. I also don’t see it being a good option for acne prone and/or oily skin. I think Cetaphil is a much better option.

I also like the packaging I like the pump bottle, it had good ingredients for normal to dry skin and it has helped clear up my ance! And it also is good to take off ur makeup. I use the face wash in the Am and Pm it works great and affordable.

Doesn’t lather well. My face does not get washed completely. There is still so much makeup left on my skin that I need to use a toner to get off. It is moisturizing at least.

If you are looking g for a gentle cleanse, this is it. CeraVe is gentle on the skin but gets the job done. I have normal skin and it neither leaves my skin feeling or looking too dry or too oily after cleansing.
