The paint goes on smoothly on nearly any surface and provides opaque coverage to keep the previous color from showing through. Whether you're restoring an old desk or giving some character to a window sill, this chalk style paint will make it look great.
Great product. The shiplap color does not have the undesirable yellow tint that all the white colors that Annie Sloan offers. Easy to apply and great coverage after 2 coats. I just wish I could buy it in the store instead of having to order it. Price is comparable to other chalk paint brands.
I picked the Magnolia paint in store on a whim. This paint is very thin - nothing like real chalk paint which suppose to be thick and forgiving. My intended project was an old wood desk. I did a test area and I've gone over it twice already and still do not have the desired coverage. I dug out an old can of Annie Sloan paint I had in the garage to test another area and in just one coat it looks better covered then the two coats of the Magnolia. My point is, Annie Sloan is around the same price point and will save you much more time and money in the long run. Plus your project will have a nicer finish. I love, love chalk paint - just not this brand.
