Highly disappointed. Rust/mold noted and enamel melted after one year.

I purchased this kettle in March or April of 2017 after doing thorough research on the best types of durable stainless steel kettle. I was initially captivated by the sleek design, functionality, and price point of this item and was thrilled to use it each time. I roughly used this kettle about 4-5 times per week, 1 to at most 2 times a day. I grabbed it to use today, July of 2018, and while cleaning it, noticed two alarming observations: 1) a large portion of the enamel inside the kettle, no longer existed... meaning that much of the enamel must've either melted or burnt away -- which leads to the very high possibility that it has contaminated my beverages for who knows how long. 2) the area around the inside of the spout had an orange glaze surrounding the opening that looked very much like mold or rust. I've consciously taken care of this kettle by draining leftover water and letting it air dry with the lid off. Whatever this glaze of orange thing is, it's also probably been ingested by me for who knows how long. I'm sickened to my core by the thought of this. I'm highly disappointed in this product and regret the trust that I'd placed on this well reviewed product. I recommend buying with caution and to check inside the kettle each time that you wash it to prevent this from happening to you.
